Huh?
Huh?
He is saying rust is better which is stupid...
I'm surprised 99% of the people in this thread knew how to actually purchase the game.
And the most truthful comment goes to :
It's almost as if I was being deliberately over-simple for the sake of humor or something.
ok...
Not all that people on the forums are that stupid.
Some of them are.
Hahahahha he got banned.
Are you really surprised?
Not really!
Ok guys lets stop going off topic here because there are genuinely people who want to know which one to get and we haven't come to a conclusion.
Well you know my opinion :) I love both.
People claiming it's like comparing apples to oranges couldn't be more wrong. They are both survival simulators with the exception that Rust has base building. Other than that, they are identical.
I've played the Dayz mod for over a hundred hours. I've only played the standalone for 10 hours. I just bought rust a week ago and already have 30 hours in. Rust is far superior to Dayz Standalone. However, the Dayz MOD is ALSO far superior to Dayz Standalone.
The gunplay in Dayz is stellar. That's it. Everything else is clunky and overly complicated. Dayz standalone is a huge step back from the mod. They removed so many features. I regret buying the Standalone and should have stuck to the mod.
Dayz: Wh, aim, ESP, teleporting (themselves and other players), moving buildings, duping items (those are which im sure about)
And that's with VAC and BattleEye enabled.
Someone should develop an anticheat for Rust (like anticheat++ for minecraft) so that nobody will be able to use server-side hacks. (flying, no-clip etc.)
I have yet to run into hackers on the servers I play on =/
I spent some time modding my character so that I now smash a tree with a hatchet. No, it wasn't a hack job.
Hax
DayZ serves no challenge whatsoever. You go around building to building collecting guns and food.
Rust you go around cities looking for craftables. You kill for food, you have the ability to kill for food without having to find a tool to do so. You build a home for yourself or others and you have to defend it. You are able to advance with your technology, overall its just a better game.
DayZ doesn't have the fear factor. If you die no big deal, run into a big city and you'll find guns everywhere. You're unable to customize your guns, you get what the game gives you 0 freedom.
Rust is very challenging, i like having that feeling that i am not safe even in my own home. It keeps me on guard, it makes the game exciting.
DayZ- I get tents, horde all the vehicles and hide in the forest.
DAYZ has more depth at the moment, but I think DAYZ is a lot further on in the development cycle than Rust is currently. Both have massive potential, but both need to look beyond the mechanics as soon as it's feasible and start working on depth.
Depth of experience is always the issue with these sandbox games. Looting, crafting, killing NPCs, and PVP will all get boring pretty fast if that's all there is.
OP summed up:
Making a video on youtube to try and get my channel hits making comparisons to two games that have NOTHING to do with each other but I do not really make ANY comparisons I just walk around playing the game talking nonsense and then giving my personal opinion of which I like more. Also watch my other video that has NOTHING to do with the game for these forums.
