Because I am an avid movie and image editor, the first thing I said when I bought Rust was "Damn, that logo is ugly."
So, I decided to take it into my own hands to make two versions that I think are better.
Version #1; Rust Enhanced
An edited version of the logo to be simply nicer.

A completely custom logo made for Rust. It's supposed to be a radioactive logo with an extra ray.

It's okay if you don't notice. I'm a computer clean-freak, and the spaces between all the boxes were different sizes and really ugly to me, most people wouldn't notice.

The thing is, if you made minor adjustments that are hardly noticeable, what is really the point? Besides, you never see the logo in-game...

Personally I think the logo could do with a complete redo. But obviously that'd hurt the brand a bit since it'd be unrecognisable... Perhaps move one of those 3 points to make it more even, I feel sorry for those with OCD...

Yeah, that was the problem. You may not be able to notice but the square in the middle on the original logo actually is NOT in the middle. It hurts my brain and makes me go crazy.

Honestly all I did was rotate the logo by -135° and it still looks better than your "improved" logo.

Thats what I read from your post.
I think the first logo isnt choppy and sharp enough. Making the colors more vivid and the borders blurred sort of destroys the whole "edgy, weirdy" look I enjoy with it.
The second one is a decent enough idea, but I would like to see something more corroded, and more importantly, MADE BY THE AWESOME CONCEPT GUYS WORKING ON THE ACTUAL PROJECT.
Im trying to sell this picture to my friends as we speak. Ill print mousepads of it soon enough.

For a computer clean freak it looks pretty obvious where you forgot anti aliasing and you can see what looks like the reminants of a poor fuzzy select

To be honest, I don't really like it, the silhouetting is just kinda strange, but you are on the right track. I know it may sound stupid, but can you maybe edit one to have some bullet holes or something in it? that might be kinda cool, I am no artsy person, so I couldn't say if that would ever turn out well, but call it a requestThis was just a little experiment, what do you think?

Well, if you do manage it, make sure they are different "caliber" holes, maybe one or two not fully penetrated (e.g. dented) I know that's going slightly overboard, but I think it may have some potential, it could be really cool. As for the silhouettes, definitely move them to the background and lighten them up a bit, and see how that looks, maybe?

Yeah I gotta agree, it looks a bit cheesy and cliche, change it up some, but I love what you did with the logo, that looks really cool.

Well, go look up some bullet holes for inspiration, I am no sort of graphics artist, but I can tell you that is not what a bullet hole looks like. Also, maybe add some rust to the edges of the hole and the logo, you know, cuz it is rust and all
