    Found a bug,
    if updating to 1.3.1 no one can open their own door now, and they said they are not sharing it .....?


    OKAY, I sent over the Assembly-CSharp.dll again and all can open the doors!

    Just had some rest, now i can reflect on yesterday and discuss the future of the mod.

    DoorSharing will stop working most times there is a server-side steam update. You will need to wait for me to update the .dll when this happens, the rest of the mod should work fine though. I had to modify Assembly-CSharp.dll's CIL code to invoke an area in my script and constantly change the referenced libraries (Rust++.dll) version number, this is the only way i could see DoorSharing happening for now.

    There is multiple ways to fix this, easiest would be for garry to make a small change to his code :) and a more difficult solution is to modify the CIL code during runtime which is very possible, just time consuming.

    LeatherLoader (the loader this Mod runs on) is upgrading to Neolith very soon, a new loader with many more features, shiny website, more help etc. the current loader has its limitations with sharing server listeners, my original plan was to release DoorSharing as a separate mod, however this wasn't possible due to the current state of LeatherLoader, as Rust++ and DoorSharing would both need to access the chat system when only one can right now.

    I don't plan on modifying any more server-side dll code for now until i find a better solution. There is still plenty of work i can do without touching that stuff. I have plans for Group/Party/Clan systems with chat, permissions and door sharing. a good easy to use kick/ban system is also something i plan to do and improvements to DoorSharing (like saving) and sharing/unsharing offline players.

    Right now the server code is unobfuscated, if it ever gets obfuscated i will not be continuing this mod and the mod will no longer work. so lets just hope that doesn't happen ;)

    But for the next week or so i'm going to do small things such as polish up the current mod and add a few more configurable settings in.

    I have no plans for creating 'server donator kits', im sure as shit that garry/helk wouldn't be thrilled with players spending real life money to get ahead in the game.

    Just tested the door sharing function and it does not work. It gives the message that doors are shared with friend but my friend can't open them, neither existing or new doors.
    NVM THIS! I had to replace the Assembly-CSharp.dll file.
    Door sharing is confirmed working on hfbservers.

    There is some server hosts working on a mod panel and implementing newer versions of Rust++

    also, you can still get the later updates, you just won't be able to use /share and /unshare, install the mod like normal and don't touch the dll.

    You don't have to used that dll, just remember to set shareddoors to false in config, and there is no problem in using later versions, I run 1.3.1 without the csharp.dll.

    A bit bummed that a game update will cause sharing not to work. I suspect that a lot of people will be making dwellings with this in mind.

    Hopefully there will be a way to make it more "permanent" through new iterations. Either way, great work.

    It's as permanent as you make it, I guess. You could always tell your player base to set Rust not to auto-update and then they can force the update once the new DLL is released.

    There are currently no commands to change the time of day/night speed individually.

    env.timescale changes the speed at which the day/night cycle happens. Not sure what the default is, but env.timescale 1 speeds it up significantly. Setting it somewhere in the .00XX range slows it down to the point of almost not moving.

    env.time sets the time of day.
    What you can do, to achieve a long day and short night (for example), is have some extra computer logged into the game as admin, then run env.timescale "0.0033" (half normal timespeed to make day twice as long), then after however many minutes you've measured that the day lasts for, have it run env.time "X" where X is say 18 or 19 or 20, however late in the day/night you want the time to speed up again (this command is to synchronise in case you didn't measure accurately, otherwise it'll get wonky after a few game days). Then, you can run env.timescale "0.0067" to set time back to normal speed, or something like "0.0134" to make night half normal time (so 1/4 the day length in this example).

    You can automate these commands with something like AutoIt or AutoHotKey, at least as a stopgap measure until we have access to easier inbuilt command scripting :)

    As for the longer display time for the periodic notices.. I guess xEnt may be able to add an option to repeat the notice at around the same time the client clears it, to have it up there twice as long. Easy to code, compared to some of the other things he's done ;)

    Yea, I also use HFB and the airdrop option does the same thing for me and eventually crashes my server. Anyways, I got it running perfect on my server except for the map getting wiped upon a restart.
