Ok I have HFBServers and I didn't realize what I was doing and I installed the Oxide 1.15 Update which does not have the traditional uninstall button.

However I do not want to use Oxide, I prefer Rust++ but now that I installed the Oxide 1.15 update none of the Rust++ features work. Has anyone figured out a solution to this? Is there anyway to uninstall the Oxide Update? Even if I have to wipe my entire server I don't really care. Anything to help. Sorry if this question has been answered already but there are 72 pages and I don't really want to search through all of them to find an answer.

isak15: as far as i know, the oxide 1.15 patch just updates oxide installer on HFBServers. I could be wrong though, im new there. At this time Rust++ has not yet been updated on the HFBServers and we are also waiting for it.

I have HFB aswell the update is not ready..it still says 1.5.3 when you see it change to 1.5.4 then load it up.

As for takeing oxide off..go to file manager delete the oxide folder.

Make sure you stop the server first.

It will not change anything to remove oxide via FTP, oxide continually return. The automatic update of Oxide will not fit in conflict with plugins Rust + + because it is only automatic update, from the moment you do not install the plugin Plugin Oxide Mod it's not a problem.

But current Rust Essentials version is 1.6.1 (Rust Essentials)

So I wonder, maybe they made a mistake thinking they were updating Rust++ and now they are no more checking Rust++ post ?
Because I don't think downloading a zip file and updating the control panel takes 12 hours.
no - the twitter post you refer to is the update to rust essentials from the last update of the game. the new version of rust essentials is for this game update - they just didnt tweet it.

I am not ghosted into my server when I disconnect, but I uninstalled the non-working rust++ 1.5.3 mod because it was interfering with chat and the inventory on the new game platform. I can't wait for HFB to update their servers to 1.5.4. I opened a support ticket with them, in attempts to hurry them along. I'm really looking at another GSP after this month is up if I decide to keep the server.

So once 1.5.4 comes out on HFB then Rust++ should work again? Is it because of this that none of the Rust++ /commands work?

sure. first i installed rus++ then run the steam update. after restarting the machine i seems not running.
then i uninstalled rust++ -> steam update -> install rust++ -> start the machine. Then i joined the server and it still didnt seem to run ( /commands didnt work) after 5-10 minutes rust++ initialized or something and some features startet to work. the most features are working. death broadcast, instako, friends and some other stuff isnt. Im just waiting for magma now, just hope we can get a stable version soon

Yes, it should be fixed once HFB updates. FPSplayers has already updated and the only issue I've read that people are having with the new update is double broadcasts when players join. I can't wait to intall the new updated mod and confirm for myself.

    Edited:

When Magma is released will it be supported by HFB and other GSPs without full FTP access? My players have gotten so used to the convenience of using some of the commands they cry when it's unavailable. Can anyone else confirm that instako, death broadcast, and friendslist are not working on the updated mod?

Pretty much the same experience here, they take forever to do anything with your server. just hope you don't have a problem or you'll have a long wait. does anyone know if fpsplayers servers are any good?

I used multiplay didn't like them much, maybe they've changed some though since I used them. I couldn't use rust++ with them when I rented a server.

Yes HFB being way too slow about this, it is killing our server, we usually have around 25 a day, now we have 1 - 8 last two days because rust++ is down.

I will definitely be looking for a new provider, I don't mind paying the extra 5-15 bucks for a host that updates the mods.

I run server boxes myself, it is not hard and does not take 2 - 3 days to update something like this. Even if it was one guy managing 10 boxes.

By reading your comments, I think it would be a great idea to add a quick auto-updater to Magma, so GSP wouldn't have to update it themselves.

for me its more the face that the support just isnt there i mean it only takes 30 seconds to reply to a ticket yet waiting nearly 24hours is just a joke .

So I'm using Nitrous Networks.. Rust++ 1.5.4 works partially, only some commands work however I still have to login to rcon every time I join the server and the instako, death announcements, airdrops, setmasteradmin, and the notifications when people join the server are not working. It seems as though this may not be a complete Rust++ update? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You might have installed the update wrong because everyone else is saying the new patch has full functionality. Stop server, uninstall all mods, update steam, re-install mod, re-configure the new .cfg file. Do not use the old one.

    *your GSP shouldnt matter.

On my second host and all I have to say is I have good things to say of FPSplayers. They really try to inform clients of whats going on. Like everyone else, we're anxious to start developing our own js for Magma. I heard HFBservers will get Magma first, but I think FPSplayers deserves to be one of the first.

I'm just saying, from the viewpoint of a paying customer, and the owner of a gaming community which hosts multiple servers and owns their own server box. Having a company take 2+ days to update the core of their system and playerbase for one of their servers is crippling.

We went from constant players, to people randomly joining, seeing the commands arent working, than leaving.

It does not matter at this point if you make Magma auto update, what about other mods in the future as the games evolves?

Now we have to deal with the hassle of switching hosts because we are losing our playerbase due to this. I could careless if HFB says not to bash them in their user agreement, we are losing our playerbase and I'm outraged.

I just ordered from FPS, lets hope this goes well, and I hope they stay on top of updates.

Please give FPS Magma when it releases HFB does not deserve to be the first to get it.

and this is why I was so happy that BMRF was accepting new servers. We just switched over to them from HFB and it's been bliss. We live on the West Coast, so the ping times are higher, but it's a small price to pay. When we first switched over, we had problems getting Rust++ working. 30 mins after I opened a ticket with BMRF, I started receiving emails back from their tech support. He literally didn't stop working on the issue until they were able to fix it. It made me cry nerd tears of joy.

So the automatic update of Oxide is or is not in conflict with Rust++? You say "Oxide will not ?fit? in conflict"? Not sure that you mean by "fit".
Install does not mean use. So your server will only use plugins. We install oxide on our server by mistake but it did not come in conflict with rust + + because you did not configure
