Hfb blocked all ftp and file manager access, they did allow rust ++ before.
    Waiting in support ticket.

I think i'm about to cancel my HFB Server. Really unfortunate, but I don't like people messing with files and making adjustments when i'm offline. Now no mods are working on my server, and I can't really make any changes. This is lame :/

    Ditto,

They didn't bother to tell me the server location I had ordered from was full, I had to submit a ticket for that.

And now they remove all our tools (which are part of the package advertised as a selling point)

I like to support the whole community, it seems like HFB is catering to Oxide only at this point.

    Ummm....:

    Dear Customer,

Unfortunately due to the wishes of the Oxide mod developers, we were forced to remove mods from all servers at this time. We are working with the developers to restore access to these mods, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

We will post updates here as they become available.

    Best regards,

    Michael Moore

So are the 'wishes of Oxide' the real reason for removing Leather as well?

Seems like someone is not telling the whole truth here

This is what's going to kill Garry allowing mods. Companies like Oxide. I would bet there is an NDA and the hosts have to pay to have it.

I just received this announcement from HFB: "As many of you have noticed FTP access is DOWN for everyone for the moment. This is due to an exploit found in the Leather mod for Rust. We are currently working as fast as we can to restore FTP access and in a reliable and secure manner."

Multiplay's response to inquiries of RUST++ support: "We are currently testing oxide, once done we will move to other mods like this." Convenient that they omitted Oxide's refusal to allow Leather on servers running their mod.

So it appears HFB's screw up was allowing Leather on their servers. Oxide doesn't provide the features we want so we'll stick with HFB for now.

There is no 'allowing' leather on their servers, we paid for full FTP access.

We can load whatever mod we want

The fact that Oxide was an officially supported Mod with its own installer should tell you all you need to know

Yup ... you are right. But were I in there shoes I would not permit anything that resulted in security vulnerabilities. You wanna jump ship and take your business somewhere else ... fine, here's your refund, cya.

Yes, I would be happy to take it at this point.

Besides of which if servers are allowing full FTP access, how can they not have taken all security precautions before hand, to prevent such an event?

rustpp.shutdown is not working on my server.

It counts down after it says NOW! it just starts counting backwards into the negative values forever. ....

I think adding like a focus mod when aiming with a configurable button or just reduce weapon sway a little, and a noclip for admins to do events, etc.

i have big plans for the mod. i am also going to start letting developers onboard to make this a really big community mod. if there's any C# devs around let me know and ill github this and people can contribute to it.

once Neolith is released though, things like door sharing, chat history will get moved to their own plugins, right now its not possible to make them separate mods due to the way Leather works.

Is Neolith honestly worth messing around with at this point? I see it is ver 0.1, but I would be willing to toss it up on my 2nd server to see what happens.

Actually, xEnt22 I've already used your Rust++ to learn how everything worked in the inside and made some improvement by myself. I would honestly like to work with you on this. Only bad thing now is that my host HFB disallow the replacement of the DLL in the managed folder ... Anyone with a host that still allows that ? I will change for sure, since their support confirmed me that they won't change that.

Anyway xEnt hit me up !
