Hello, and welcome to DryLand Rust! :)
After getting this game a couple of weeks ago, and playing on other servers where we experienced hackers/immature players, and no active admins. We decided to start our own server.
This server got very active administrators from Norway, where we all range from the age of 26 - 33. And we are looking for more members to come join us!
Some facts about the server:
- Rust++
-Teamspeak - New teamspeak added to the server: dryland.dyndns.org
- Door sharing - Share the doors with your friends!
- Arena fights - Admins have built a large arena, where we throw tournaments(Usually last man standing), definitly something you should come try!
- No age restriction, but behave properly, we all enjoy a good community.
- PvP is on. We want this server to go its natural way, where the main purpose is surviving.
- Active & experienced administrators who have a line of work with servers. They are also not allowed to abuse any power(He/she will then loose the admin permission right away).
- Server located in Germany. This because we a server with good ping for everyone living around in Europe.
- Democracy, changes to the server can be put up for voting on our facebook page. This means every player got something to say! :)
- Unaffected by the DDOS attacks that have been going on.
- 100 slots - Just enough, we will upgrade the slots when a bigger map is released.
- 50% reduced craft time - Decided this after a vote with the players.
Server rules:
1: No racism allowed.
2: English only, when using the chat.
3: All kinds of cheaters will be perma banned.
4: No griefing(Do not Place pillars/Foundations on other players bases)
-You can however build on another decayed base as you want!
5: Killing freshspawns will result in jailtime, a jail built by the admins. Time in jail will depend on how many you have killed, and how you did it!
6: If you loose your items to cheaters, we will replace them. This is a onetime solution only, and we will need to be convinced.
7: Admins will only use their power for server-purpose, so do not ask them to give you items, destroy something if there is no real reason. They already got their hands tied to other work.
To join the server;
- Enter the game
- Hit "F1" on the keyboard
- Write; net.connect 176.9.34.110:28085 - then hit enter.
- Enjoy your stay !
To join the teamspeak server
- Download TS from www.teamspeak3.com
- Connect to dryland.dyndns.org
- You can now create your own temp channels to use, which will disappear when there is noone idling there anylonger.

The arena fights:
The arena fights will usually be held a couple of times(sometimes more) a week, the rules and prize will differ from time to time.
An example of how a event could be:
Weapons: Pistols with 2 Magazines
Armor: Leather armor
Game mode: Last man standing
Prize: Wood, Metal, Airdrop flares(Always a good reward for the winning player).
Arena: Can find more ammo, and some other weapons around in the arena(In the small bags).
How it starts:
1: All the players will be asked to leave all the stuff they have in their base.
2: PvP will be turned off until the event starts.
3: Players will be ported to the starting room(Outside arena)
4: Admins will make sure that noone brought any Equipment
5: Players will recieve anything that they need during the tournament from admins.
6: When all is ready, we will move to the next room.
7: The last door will be opened, and the players will have 15 seconds to get out into the arena.
8: After 15 seconds, the PvP will be turned on, and a announcement will pop that the tournament begins.

EDIT: @NoctisAkatsuk: I dont mind and I THINK its set to 150% speed but you need to ask a admin about that to be sure.

Yeah, it is now set to 150% craft speed, which means the craft time is taking half the time it used to! :)

How is your standings on raids on this server?
Have seen alot of raids on newplayers whit asult guns and what not ageinst a newplayer that have only played for 2 hours that dont even got a gun.... sad realy.
So wanted to know what your standing on raids?
good comunety is a + tho, tells me moste ppl on this server are nice and friendly :)

As of the admins and the players currently living on the server. There is no raids yet(There is no rule against it though). This because everyone agrees to that it aint fun raiding new players, and will rather want for People to build themselves up.
It has also been establised a friendly community for new players, seeing that new players have been given pickaxe(other starting up gear), and havent heard of one incident yet, where a naked guy mining away have been ganked. :)
Had a fun event yesterday though, where a airdrop came. Everyone went hungergames and fought eachother. While the more establised players fought eachother, a naked new player snuck up, took everything and disappeared

Airdrop is adjusted each day to the amount of players at peak hours.! :)

i can't connect to the server. Facepunch_connector_AuthTimeout is the error i get. Seems like the same error alot of servers were having when those French were exploiting Ulink and shutting down alot of Rust servers.

I had the same problem! Just closed my game client, and started it up again for it to work! :) The server have been up all day, and is still up :)

Even though there are alot of rage due to the nature of this game - there are more friendlys still, than bandits on this server :) several admins has been killed allready lol, but even though they rage abit too - there is no adminabuse as far as I have seen.
There has been some lag issues, but it has been fixed almost immidiatly by the admins.
I wish I could get my hands on some airdrops soon! Cya out there survivors

This is the best server i have been on so fare.
Tho, the first hour i was playing i got shot by a dud whit shotgun for farming wood, and another survivor did try to raid me while i was asleep but failed due i got metal doors XD fail btw. but other then that i have seen nothing but friendly players. even when i try to get the drops and a survivor is alredy next to it, all he does is aim at me to tell me to back off and not just shoot randomly at me. Nice game, but moste of all realy nice server :D recommended!!

Great, got banned for being accused of glitching into an Admin House,
if its a Full Metal House with 2/3 floors, you forgot to place a Metal Wall on the back sir.
Now my in game name is "Nadfist" please unban me.
If you have further questions to ask to ME if you still think that i glitched, then add me on Steam.

Let me tell you what happened, I watched you and your friend run stright through a door that was not yours and out again, i smashed your friend down and i found all the stuff that was in the boxes inside.
Quite an easy spot to see what you did as i was like 10 meters away, watching every move.
I talked with the owner of the house and guess what, all his stuff was missing and confirmed same stuff as in the bag, i guess it cannot be clearer than this.

I haven't gone into any ones house and looted chest other than looking at the empty large boxes in the huge
metal house.

And i've always been confused in the chat what Loktar is talking about, me glitching, i was banned when i was in my house,
i'm not getting any of this clearly, i don't use hacks/glitches, if i would, i would already get a 10 story building perhaps.
Now as a i said please take a Screenshot of the house that you saw me or robbcap glitched into, we don't glitch nor do we use hacks.
EDIT: Was it "robbcap" you killed? and did you see my name tag and saw me running away?

Admins banned myself and three friends for "aimbotting" and "speedhacking" without any evidence whatsoever. The aimbotting accusation was understandable - we're a group of friends with years of experience playing at a high level in competitive FPSes, so our aim is pretty good. The speedhacking accusation came purely from someone on the friend list of an admin making shit up in public chat. We noticed admins teleporting and following us round while invisible (it makes footsteps and your name is still visible) and they know we were not speedhacking. If you're going to accuse people of cheating and ban them just for being better than you are, I'm not sure what to say really.
When an admin (Bang) teleported and talked to us before giving out bans, he even admitted that the reason we were being banned is because we had a lot of people complaining about us in chat. I'm not sure how you can claim to be experienced admins, when you ban people without a single piece of evidence against them.

fawwles, before Bang ported to check on you. I was already scouting Ahead, and saw the speedhack. Thats why you guys got banned from the server, maybe you find it to harsh. But as of right now, there is so many cheaters in this game, that we have 0 tolerance.

Either you're just plain making shit up, or you have the wrong people. A speedhack is unmistakeable, and none of us have ever used one.

We have installed the VAC plugin on the server, which means every player that have previously been banned with VAC, wont be able to join our server.
It also seems to work great, because there have not been a complaint in a log time.
Today we have cleaned of 31 users, we have also built a arena and thrown a tournament! :)

The state this game is now (Alpha) there exist a huge number of glitches/hacks wich make the game sour for not only the admins but our regular players aswell. Please understand that we need to kick and ban people with a butchers cleaver to keep the abuse to a mere minimum and hopefully keep cheaters away from our server. This of course may result in people being innocent - getting banned. We appologize if this happened to you, as we try to keep thing civil and just. But you must understand that aslong as the tools the admins use are worse than the hackers use as per today mistakes will happen. Admins are just trying to protect the community the best they can against hackers, all the feedback they're been given so far has been overwhelming positive. Great, thats why this server is and will always be the best.

Server is going really good now!
- Community is now stable
- Starting kit for new players, to make it a little bit easier
- Two new admins on tryout
- Controll and fast action against hackers(Not experiencing many of them now)
We'd still like for more dedicated nice players to come join us, maybe join us for tomorrows arena tournament for some great fun! :0)

Admins , where will be the next wipe? we finally get rid off hackers with dumped C4s thanks to recent patch ... so we need wipe to get rid off that all pre-patch C4s hidden on the server, or what is your solution?

Hey there Slovak, I agree that a wipe might be a good solution after the glitches/hacks have been fixed. But it is important for us to listen to the public, so I will put it up on facebook to see what everyones opinion is. :)
