    Yeah my entire server has added me hounding at me for the server to come back...but I cant until this mod is ready for HFB


    Canvox i dont know if this will help you sort out HFB's problem but heres what they told me

    We are currently waiting on the latest version of DropParty, which should change the location of the config files to the save folder.

    Me to ive got my entire server spamming me like crazy for the server which means I am having to spam the hell out of HFB servers and just sit on this forum...its all ready to go!! I have edited all of the drop party files on the desktop so when its available I just purely convert it over!

    DropParty works fine with the latest update- FPSPlayers has it running already (although their configuration setup sucks). HFB can come talk to me about whatever errors they're encountering, but the issue is on their end.
    Given HFB's history with Rust, I'm thinking we're still waiting on HFB.

    lol, well I have messaged vox that HFB need the install directory to be changed to /save/dropparty and so on and I have messaged HFB that I have told vox about the problem....annoying that I am having to work for them ...but meh speeds up this slow process for a SIMPLE dam change

    HFB just told me
    We have been in contact with him, and are simply waiting for the update to switch the location of the config files. This is necessary due to the fact that we had to remove FTP access to the Rust data folder.

    so purely on you vox the weight of all HFB severs lol you can do it bud!

    We're putting the finishing touches on things now, unfortunately whether your server can come up is going to depend on which mods other than DropParty you depend on.

    If you create Rust Essentials and haven't spoke to me, you're not fine- there's a new version of Leather associated with this fix and it's gonna break everything.

    I know i know, you are doing an amazing job man, you have my honest thank. You and several other Modders, are giving life to the servers of a game that is still in alpha, making us experience more fun and dynamic, congratulations.

    by the way Vox awesome job man way to be on top of things :) just waiting on to see if the other mods will all be compatible then HFB will put them up I'm guessing so just have to wait a little longer, also is there anyway there can be a mod made about editing the default crafting items so making it so you have to find all these items and research / blueprint them before you can craft even the most basic of things?

    I tried it with two tables, and both gave me critical errors, and failed to load

    The lines look fine, I tested the item name by spawning them in the server, and they word just perfectly.

    So what is making the table fail to load with those items added?

    So... the drop tables are SUPER sensitive to tabs arn't they?

    Apparently spaces are not the exact same as tabs in the eyes of the engine!

    To the best of our knowledge, it is no longer possible for new modders to join the Rust modding scene, because all the server hosts have locked things down so that new mods can't be added to servers, and Garry refuses to release enough of the files to allow modders to operate without a rented server. In fact, Facepunch took some steps with the most recent update to lock things down even more. Without a change in policy from facepunch or the GSPs, I don't think it's really possible to develop mods unless you already have access to the tools to do so. I think BMRF is giving out 5-10 slotter small unlocked servers for people who they think will be serious modders so you can talk to them (and I'll help you get set up if you get a server), but I think that the real thing to do is to request that the server files be made public. Right now, I think that the GSPs have found it too easy to oligopolize- as long as no one is providing reasonable openness for the modding scene, none of them will lose business for failing to do so.
