Server is decent and there are a good number of people who are cool to be around. But, as with every server, there are people who make it their sole goal to ruin the gameplay. I won't mention any names, but several people go around trolling by killing naked people (who obviously don't have anything of value).

Yea, we've got a wipe coming up folks. Keep an eye on this thread, as the original post will be modified to show our new configuration.
We're making blueprints more common, but restricting Assault weapons to air drops. Research Kits have been removed from the loot table. We have six different air drop container configurations. Explosive Charge will be craftable, but the blueprint is rare, as are the mats to craft it.
This is going to be a lot of fun.
Oh, and we've installed Rust++ for door share and chat history.

All who aren't aware, there IS a kickoff event tomorrow(1/17)! The wipe is scheduled for noon PDT (posted incorrectly by Lawbringer) and the event is scheduled for 1:00 PDT. The event should be fun for all and help build the community. I don't want to give away any details and ruin the surprise, so come and check it out if you can be online at that time.

Saw this thread and decided to check it out. When i get in the server I immediately get killed twice out of nowhere then I get accused of exploiting and get banned. These guys aren't friendly at all.

Silas and Daevo are good admins. They do not ban people for no reason. Please take your unfounded claims somewhere else - preferably where people actually want to hear your false opinions.

Hey, sorry Jennifer. You showed up and we started dying from the fall bug being exploited. I'm sorry if it wasn't you, but you're the only person who wasn't a regular online at the time.
If you're going to say here that you weren't hacking, I'll remove you from the ban list and give you another shot.
Sometimes we've got to shoot first and ask questions later. We've got a community to protect from hackers unfortunately.

So let me tell you about the cult server.
there was a wipe today, one that removed the possibility of most high end drops from anything but airdrops.
'Allright' i thought 'this will even out the balance of power on the server for a while and make it fun to play.
I avoid the cluster at 1pm and log in a couple of hours later to test the waters.
Started gathering and noticed a... drop crate. Asked around if the server admin had done anything 'special' for the new wipe, recieved replies that nothing had happened, so i investigate the crate.
leather helmet and leather pants. okay cool thats not overpowering.
two seconds later I am killed by 'tom' (aka terribletom above) with a headshot by a silenced M4.
this is two hours into a wiped server where everyone is basically starting with rocks and no research kits.
I hear after making my case to the admin that 'oh i gave some people supply grenades'.
some background:
The server admin hates people who play peacefully and favors pvpers because they're 'less boring'... oh did I mention that he pvp's on the server as well. the ADMIN PVPS on HIS SERVER. (no conflict of interest there)
Daevo is another one who pvps and RAIDS PEOPLES HOUSES... oh look he's another admin.
Hymlock (or something like that) is another who rampantly pvp's... friend of the admin.
Tom and Gorrar (who changed his name) also pvp... Tom is very close with the admin.
So when I'm killed by a SILENCED (probably holoscoped) M4 within 2 hours of the server being WIPED, on a server that basically should have nothing but pipe shotguns, handcannons, and revolvers, by a known friend of the admin who SOMEHOW got his hands on END GAME GEAR because 'oh they happened to drop with their supply crate' (supply crates which i've called before and have had nothing but wood parts and food multiple times)....
I'm calling BS.
My suggestion?
Avoid this server in favor of servers with admins who don't abuse their position by giving favorable items to their 'pet players', I'm sorry that I have to come on a forum to voice this opinion but sadly the problem is THAT BAD.
In case anyone is wondering, I was a regular on the server, and I logged quite a few hours there.
For those who are regulars and wondering: this is 'John'.

Wow, really John? Until about an hour and a half ago, Supply signals had a 1% chance of dropping from zombies. When I saw how many dropped in the first few hours of the server, that was patched and fixed.
I actually don't like the way Tom plays. He's been warned about his behavior because we advertise as discouraging KoS. Tom really doesn't like me because I confiscated the one M4 on the server.
Daevo and Hymlock are both personal friends of mine. They're not admins. They do both have my phone number, so at 3AM when a hacker gets banned, it may LOOK like one of them did it, but I assure you it was me. While I don't give them any gear, I do encourage them to harass solo players; which usually drives them to make friends and bond together over a common enemy. That's actually why let Tom stay on the server too. Just before the Wipe, Daevo and a couple other regulars lead a ten man raid of half newbs against Tom and his friends. It was actually pretty entertaining.
Lastly, as for myself, I don't PvP on the server. I hate PvP. I always get my ass kicked because I don't have the same reflexive twitch aim/ fire that I've seen so many other FPS gamers master.
I'm not going to point fingers or try to hit you back or anything, because I think that's just stupid. I will end this though with saying that I don't appreciate your raging and accusations. Sorry you didn't like it here.

For any readers information - thisismyname! is also known as John 3:16, a former member of the community. He seems to misunderstand the game of Rust and instead sits in his pretty little hut all day and night playing house while the rest of us hunt animals, zombies, and each other.
While this server may be noob-friendly, we are not pussy-friendly.

Okay, so just for some more information about this.
1.) Supply crate drops were still being adjusted pre-wipe, which is likely when you found what you found in the crates.
2.) All items have been acquired without admin powers, even the supply signals were found from drops (NOT given away).
3.) There is a place for everyone, you just need to find your niche or a similarly minded group of people in the community.
4.) There are no 'Pet Players', there are some players that are more involved in discussions with the admin and community, but they are shown no leniency or favor when it comes to balance. We get what we find, nothing more, nothing less.
Also, just a side note: 2 hours is a lot of time, a lot can happen in that matter of time.
Edit: It just came to me that this was at an airdrop as well, you should expect to be shot there.

This is a great server - I highly recommend it. BUT, there is one thing you should understand - the purpose of the server is to interact with people and be social more than you would normally be on Rust. If you're only interested in running and gunning and killing everyone, this server is likely not for you. Towns and neighbors are a great thing, as is finding people you can (sort of) trust.

Interested to try this out, people really RP on here? Was kind of concerned about the people complaining but judging by how the owner responded to the complaints it sounds like it might be fair and balanced which is something i am trying to find.

Hey! When I attempt to join I just keep getting disconnected It keeps saying "connection failed." Is this issue on my end or is the server down?
