Today is the first time I encountered someone using an aimbot in Rust (have been playing about a week so far and loving it). After some research, I found out that there was an aimbot made available yesterday. This steam user "deviantek" was using it on US Central 1 today. Posting profile so devs can possibly observe in game if it helps counter the aimbot development for next patch: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197983868724
Happy to see Rust is VAC secured, although not sure what happens to those that use the aimbot as deviantek is still playing.

I haven't played in a few days as I only get 20 fps until tomorrow when I upgrade my PC, but, I haven't encountered an aimbot.

Step 1 would be stop telling the community that there is now an aimbot available.
You really should think about what you are doing before you post.

Please ban deviantek on US Central 1. My group encountered him, and he killed us through walls and stole all our goods that took us hours and hours to farm. Not cool.

Haven't encountered an aimbotter, but I have encountered a noclipper. Apparently in the server I was in, this guy was completely invisible and was running around at high speeds. I was talking to him for a little bit trying to get his steam login name (his current name doesn't help in the banning process since he can just change it) but it was weird, it was kinda like I was inside him, and I could see his gun and body and stuff and then when I walked back, he disappeared again.

Have encountered total of 4 hackers in UK2 with a total of 100+ hours of play. 2 with aimbots and 2 who just walk through metal doors / walls and steal all stuff you have. Makes me sad but managed to get their names / id's so lets hope we get vac enabled soon so we don't have to watch this stuff continue.

I'm quite sad to see this post today ... because yesterday, after 50 hours of pure gaming enjoyment on rust, i had suspicions for the very first time.
This guy (http://steamcommunity.com/id/vivael) killed 12 of us in a row, each time with only two consecutive M4 bullets in the head. I forced myself to think he was just very good, but now i can't think this is a coincidence :/

there is a new aimbot out and the scum that made it are very proud of it! I hate cheaters and hackers! they kill off decent games. On MY server, if I suspect anyone of hacking or cheating they will get a quick perma ban and reported for their troubles. SCUM! is all they are!

I pay for lots of games and each one over time get bitchslapped by these fukin tards!
its just disappointing.
They would be better spending time helping the people who make the games. make the games better. They were probably abused as children and this is their way of getting back at the people they hate! Or picked on at school.

You do realize the hackers will find the aimbot programs regardless? It's not like posting is going to make things any worse.

Yeah, that's what sucks, cheats are always updated to circumvent capture by automated.programs, the only real solution is to root them out by hand, and I am certain thry lack the manpower. Best possible thing to do is report the offending profile and play on a different server assuminf they make the game unplayable.

He is vac banned. If he is still playing on the server that means there simply is no VAC at all
(unless i misunderstand how vac works)

Rust VAC isn't global AFAIK. For instance if he's banned in MW3, he can still play Rust unless he's specifically VAC banned from Rust.
