new ideas are great and all but the graphics engine has it's limitations. It already laggs like crazy when large building in the view, drop a couple of campfires at night and it's a slide show. Terraforming will take the lag to extreme. Current engine version has limit on collisions calculation - this will make expanding resources on the map a huge challenge in technical terms - can be done but at a cost of faster decay. You simply can't have too many structures on the map at any given time.
