Im on a macbook pro 13 inch(early '11) with the following specs:
2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
4GB Ram
Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
and i can't connect to any servers, it just freezes when it says connecting (after loading all the graphics)

so is there anything really getting done about us not being able to play? ive been unable to play for over 36 hours and thats not fun.

if they simply restarted the original servers they would be fair and stop free raiding... but the way they choosed was waiting and waiting... really makes me mad i just tryed to save mine and my friends weapons, he dced and couldnt get back . i ran to my house tryed to close the door but hey it flew away so i waited and hided in my house when i saw server population went up from 32 to 59 i disconnected and tryed to reconnect but nope server rejected me.

Logical deduction... if you can get on some servers and not others, it means the problem isn't Steam anymore but that servers aren't allowing new logins. ALL servers need reset so they can allow logins again.

DayZ devs seem to have had this occur to their player basethe past few days as well whit it looks like was fixed earlier.
It seems either the Rust people do not know how to implement a fix or have not spoken to the right people at Steam regarding it as this began more than a day ago.
Now it looks like almost all players are effected as most of the full servers have numbers such as 20-40. Realisticly the effected player base was very big but the Rust folks treated it as a small number of effected, even in the blog post it references a small number. A large number of incident reports were on the steam forum too. The mass majority of people do not make forum accounts or are forward with these incidents. If a decently portioned size of a forum(s) community are experiencing it, you can be sure a majority of the casual gamers are too.

Same problem for me, no matter what server i try to connect to i get Authfail message, both community and official servers.

Totally regretting logging out when I went to go eat a few hours ago. Been stuck for almost 3 hours with the auth error while my friends are in game on that same server still playing...
Hopefully Steam gets this resolved tonight...
