    We're not really nerfing anything, we're just making the uber items harder to get, and ammo harder to make. If you play the game for more than an couple hours when is the last time you thought to yourself " Man, I'm really low on ammo! "

    P.s. the auto reload was stupid so I changed it to play a dry fire sound

    Got an ETA? Looking forward to trying the new stuff!

    you can test it in the Germany 1 server but you have to turn the beta option on for rust in steam.

    Nice, I want to the bolt action rifle badly, it will help compensate for me not being able to engage close quarters since I have like 27-30 fps in gun fights.

    Many times defending Hacker Valley from the Mongol horde of nakeds with bows and 9mm's. Damnit I need that metal for a metal fortress and maintenance.

    Any changes for the Durability of the Large wood spikes ?
    Currently I can play a night after work then log on the following and it is down to 1/3rd durability. Not to mention it is easier to hatchet down taking little damage .
    At 200 wood + upkeep ,I am probably better off building a structured wall for not much more.

    I was of the understanding that spikes placed on wood/metal walls would change the nature and help stop people building on the side of your structures ..This hasn't been the case at all ,and while the spikes are handy for some things,would like them to be improved for this patch.

    Options to fix would be for a bleed and slight increase in damage to happen on hit with hatchet/pickaxe .Also for the spikes to start degrading after placement by say 3 days ,then a gradual % each day so repairs aren't needed twice a day.

    I don't want them invincible,but this needs to be looked at ,as base design plays a large part in the game and currently the building meta is built around stopping people bypassing your doors through pillars on foundations outside or using stairs to jump from a foundation away/ large wood storage box and barricade to jump up..

    Ways to improve base building needs to be looked at in the future patch because as it stands,nothing has really changed in months regarding building and this is what keeps people playing

    FYI, if you're on the development branch and you update, Germany 1 will be the only server you will be able to join, you have been warned!

    Hey so since you guys are nearly settling the makeshift weapons, are you going to make c4, Kevlar and m4s uncraftable and only obtainable in airdrops or some sort?

    Second of all, I prefer having Iron sights because I hate campers. They should only have a reflex sight or something that is Medium Range.

    You prefer iron sights because you hate campers, and if someone likes a bolt action rifle they like camping? Does that mean if I like pie, that makes me a robot right?

    The bolt action is a good addition to the mix. Too many people think one dimentionally and want this to stay a close quarters game...even with a map the size of Australia.....

    Bolt Action Rifle as well, but with just 3 Shots in Mag. And horrible breaks between Shots it need a Scope to Mount. With that new Lazy Aim thing and the Holo Sight it is sic to shoot from a longer Distance i think. The Rifle itself is a great Idea and i like it :))

    or just give objects fall damage just like players get, so you build a house over pillars, destroy the pillars and the house falls to the ground and goes crunchy, along with everything in it

    The Unity Engine is not the greatest of engines for gaming, plus Rust itself is far from optimized. Do a little research on the forums here and you'll find people with beast machines, that suffer low framerates, and others who have mid range / low range machines who get decent framerates. The game's performance is all over the spectrum.
    It's possible that SLI/Crossover can be causing a lot of that, as that is a common issue with new games that don't have solid coding for the dual graphics card systems yet. If somebody is seriously determined to get better FPS on Rust they can probably disable SLI and go with one graphics card, see if that works. I can't remember if you can do that through the software interface or if you have to physically disconnect the Crossover cable, and this is theoretical since I don't know what kind of coding is in the game, i'm just very familiar with the hardware side of things.
