I'm playing rust on a Alienware about 3 years old and I notice some texture popups , but besides that it runs smooth not sure on fps never checked but I do run it on max resolution specs are below.

Alienware i3 processor Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
    12 gigs of DDR3 Ram
    Geforce GTX 660 Ti
    500 gig Hard Drive.

Now my question is I was thinking of purchasing this computer tomorrow as listed.

    http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-a...ware-aurora-r4

I will also be playing Rust on a 70 inch LED TV.

I want to know if the computer I'm thinking of getting will run Rust perfectly with no problems at all maxed out.
Will it fix my texture pop up? and rendering?

I dont want to spend over two grand unless it does.
    Thank You

Why wouldn't you just build your own and save a shit ton?

Build your own and get a shit ton more performance for less money :) the AW rigs are wicked over-rated and over priced.

Also a 70 inch TV is the same as a 21 inch monitor if they are both 1920X1080 displays. Size doesn't mean anything, it's all about resolution.

It depends, post the rest of your specs just in case.

its mad looking at all these absolutely enviable specs, Jonnymad.

    here's mine:

    Intel 720QM ~ 1.66 GHz
    8g DDR3 ram
    ATI Mobility Radeon 5850HD
Spinning magnetic disc hard drives 1Tb

And I run this game at half graphics slider fidelity 1080P roughly 25 FPS (jitters up and down by 5-10 FPS)

To be honest I am severely impressed at how it runs and the quality of the graphics it outputs. My CPU is relatively slow yet I have no trouble where people with twice my spec are having problems.

    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.2GHz

    GeForce 610 GPU

I thought I wouldn't run Rust at all, but I get maybe around 15-25 Fps with a couple of freezes here and there, mostly rendering the bases that are built in the map.

    First build actually:

    Windows 7 64-Bit
    8GB DDR3 Ram
    EVGA GeForce 650Ti 2GB
AMD FX-4130 @ 3.8Ghz (But my motherboard underclocked it because of wattage reasons to 2.8Ghz, don't ask)
    1 WD Hard Drive

Results: Able to run fantastic with grass off very smoothly. I was amazed on how games were running on my first build. I ran good with grass on very smoothly too (but oddly, I never tested grass on fantastic). Also, new PC user here (came from mac), what is a good application I can test my FPS with? I will download it once you reply and I will update the reply/make another reply.

Update 1: I had my graphics slider maxed out when doing the tests.

Update 2: Get around 35-55 FPS. I usually go towards 35 FPS in towns (specifically radtown) and around 55 FPS outside of towns.

I used FRAPS to get the fps just now. It's a video capture software, but it overlays the fps while you play.

    Win7 pro 32-bit
    intel Core 2 Duo e8500 3.16 gHz
    4 gb RAM (DDR3)
    nVidia GeForce GT 610 (2 gb DDR3)

(factory defaults set on everything and no OC)
    grass.off false
    Graphics slider set halfway
    1280 x 1024(native)

I am getting 14 - 18 FPS (I expected it to be this low.) It's playable and will do till I can afford a new power supply and video card.

If I run Rust completely maxed out @1440p I get about 35fps. This to me is absolutely unacceptable in a multiplayer fps(given my specs and the fact this isn't Crysis 3). You need at least 50+ for smooth play.
Yes, I run Rust on low settings to achieve a higher framerate, but I don't see why I should have too...

    My system specs:
    Biostar 990FX-Extreme Motherboard
    AMD 8350 8-core @4.2GHz
    32GB DDR3 RAM
    AMD R9 290x
    Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

The biggest issue is the water reflections, they bring me down about 25 fps.

This game doesn't even come close to delivering realistic visuals, so it really shouldn't run this poorly on a system like mine.

I'm aware Rust has been talking of optimizing a lot and they released an update trying to address it, which is good.. except my performance is only getting worse and worse the more updates they make.

    That low with an R290x?

I have a first gen 7970 and I get better FPS than that at 100% max settings.

Not too well at all most likely, that's an entry level card and a mobile one at that. Might be able to pull medium at 30 though, but don't quote me on that.

Comparing specs based on game playability on different engines is apples to oranges, ask him to look up his specs.

    Edited:

But based on the fact that those to quite easy to play games play on low settings I am assuming the answer is no.

    8gb DDR3 RAM @ 1600 mhz
2x Zotac GTX 760 in SLI

Running on max settings @ 1920x1090 i get between 60-80fps using 80% of 1 gpu and 10% of the other. (haven't tried any SLI tweaks/tricks)

Alright, before I spend $20, to find I have to wait 6 months til I save and rebuild my computer. Will it run?

AMD Athlon X2 3.0GHz Dual Core AM2 Socket
    PCCHIPS A15G Mobo
    4GB DDR2 G-Skill @ 800MHz
    NVIDIA GTS 450 1GB GDDR5
    160GB WD Caviar Blue
    Win7 64 bit

This ol thing runs ArmA 2 OA at about 10FPS, 1920x1080 screen res, in a light firefight. ArmA 3 fares a bit better.

I can tell you that your CPU is powerful enough, but I am not sure about your graphics card. It will run for sure, but it probably won't be great, should run fine on medium settings.

Runs at around 140 fps on max, unless I have vSync on. When I run through a forest or I'm in a gunfight, it'll sometimes drop to 100-120.

I am going to post this to let almost everyone asking if they can run it to let them know they should be able to. I can play rust with (Mumble overlay) FPS of 20-30, and with all FPS tweaks enabled I bounce between 30 and 40 FPS. My computer is a Dell Optiplex 745 (business class machine, not performance).

    Here are the specs:

    Windows 7 32bit
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz (early dual core)
3gb ram in 4 slots (dual channel)
    Nvidia GT 430 with 1GB ram (not GDDR5, but DDR3 i think)
Stock 305 watt Dell power supply (video card is a low power unit)

This computer was 3 years old when I bought it (end of lease deal from Dell) and is around 7 years old currently. If you have a better computer and you are having anything less than the FPS I am getting, then I would suggest looking at the software to make sure there isn't any extra crap running in the background while you play. Also, I don't run antivirus software. System acts strange I wipe and reinstall (usually only need to wipe about once a year which I recommend anyway). What I can say is that Rust runs decently enough and is a rock solid stable game so far (I have played multiple 12+ hour sessions without any crashes).

EDIT: Forgot to post that this is at 1920x1080 resolution.

I have a laptop with integrated graphics. I expect this game will run badly on it
    Here are the specs:
    OS: Windows 8.1
    CPU: Intel Core i5-3210M @ 2.5 GHz (can be turbo-boosted to 2.9 I think)
    RAM: 6 GB
    Hard Drive: 1 TB
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000 (crappy integrated stuff I know)
    (x64-based PC)

Not expecting much on this one, as the integrated graphics mainly let it down.

That's a laptop... You don't put a new graphics card in. Go buy a new computer, that I am almost 100% certain will not run it.
