can my pc run this game and how much fps would I get at average on high settings and low settings

    My pc specs

    CPU-i5 4430

    GPU-650 ti

    RAM-8gb ddr3 ram

that's pretty much the important stuff

    Edited:

Will it run and how much fps would I get on highest to lowest

    CPU-i5 4430
    GPU-650 ti
    RAM-8gb ddr3
    OS-windows 7

    Asus v3 something something
    A10-4600m 2.3 ghz turbo 3.2 (stays at a steady 2.7 during gameplay)
    6gb ddr3 ram
Amd radeon 7670m +7660g dual graphics
I hit a average of 30-35 fps with dual graphics disabled, simple quality, half render, grass off
Runs pretty well, cant complain, ill update when I test it with dual graphics. Havn't experienced any FPS drops, at absolute max, I hit 20fps solid, I'm running latest catalyst (probably decreases my performance honestly) I will try overclocking to see if there is any significant performance boost.

Should play solid at 60 fps or better, I would say.

Should go above 60 FPS at lowest settings, you should be fine.

Not really sure, you got quite a lot of video RAM, but that's not a great card. Maybe medium settings at a solid 60 FPS, maybe better I am not sure.

Well there is 2GB dedicated video and 2 shared, if that makes a different. And I am currently only getting 30 solid at low settings.

Well if you are using shared memory that changes things, those settings sound about right with that setup and that card. I recommend upgrading your GPU and lowering resolution a bit.

Like I said, you should be fine on medium or medium-low on native res at around 45-60 frames.

Not to be "that guy" but you failed to even notice im running way below the minimum required RAM in a resource intensive game and instead just told me to buy a graphics card or new computer. Running it on all highest settings is useless if my computer has to parse memory due to lack of thereof. In that sense low framerate is inevitable, if I would've taken your advice on the GPU(like most frugal gamers) I would've spent money and still had bad performance.

I run the game fine... No complaints there aside from hiccups when loading some dense areas. Just figured I'd toss that out there so you can better analyze and respond to said inquiries. Cheers and thanks for the input, got high hopes for this game and Its' vision.

My settings are all on minimum in terms of graphics and effects. The specs were 1.5gb of usable ram on vista 32b, and the cheap 210 card. 800x600 resolution, theres no way i could play at my monitor's native res of 1360x768. Which is fine. By now I'm just beating the dead horse as this is a "Will it run" topic and indeed it runs. For this I am grateful, I don't even have to do the buggy skybox thing that I've seen others do.

Just feel that more active RAM would be undeniably good in this game, most new and even old 64b processors can handle upwards of 1000gb of memory. Then the GPU does become the bottleneck. I've seen what can happen to a client with thousands of dynels on a playfield in gmod even on top shelf setups. Ofc totally different platform IIRC rust does not use source and instead its' own unique engine.

The response is much appreciated though, I'll stop cluttering up the topic and let others get the help they need.

No no, it's alright, if anything, it goes to show I am no genius when it comes to that, I am mostly ballparking it, as I have said a few times before. If anything, your sharing your specs and results can help some people out here, that's what's important.

little list of GPU perf, might be helpful for some (list is taken from steam hw survey)

All Results are estimates, 1920x1080 is considered, running lower resolution will increase the framerate
ofc decent CPU is needed as well, lets say anything from year 2007 and up (unless its celeron, atom or sempron) should cut it
3GB of ram should do it.. 4GB+ is optimal

Well a more recent GPU should help, youshould be able to get to medium or high settings iwould think.
Well, I installed the Radeon 7730 2GB and it definately improved the fps. Runs fairly smooth now on medium setting 1280X1024 res. The down side is, now my mouse (microsoft wireless 5000) cursor is all erratic in the menu screens including the main 'Play Game' screen and if I bring up any of the inventory/crafting etc screens. Running around the world chasing pigs is fine. It's just the menu screens that act up. And if you want it to sound even stranger, it seems worse at sunrise and sunset. The only other game I have on my PC is Minecraft. I went in there and it seemed to do it a bit but no where near as bad as Rust. Any thoughts?

yes, but it probably won't run great. Maybe medium or high settings.

I would recommend upgrading your graphics, your CPU should be powerful enough to run a newer card. I'd recommend a GTX 560 Ti or better. a GTX 760 isn't too spendy either, only like $250.

I can pick 20 games (most of which have better graphics than Rust does) and Rust will perform the worst out of all of them on at least 3 different rigs...not to mention it is making various GPU's (even pretty high-end ones) run an extra 20C hotter for no reason.

Rust *might* run good on your rig, regardless of hardware...it might not, try it and see is all you can do. The game simply isn't optimized worth a damn right now, so reading all this is pointless.

Yes, it is nvidia. As for manufacturer, that is up to you. My recommendation is EVGA or GIGABYTE, they are the most reliable, I have found.

My wireless mouse (microsoft wireless 5000) is acting up in the menu screens - 'Play Game' screen before you even start the game as well as the inventory and/or crafting menu screens - the cursor jumps all over the place. Does anyone have any idea if switching to a wired mouse will fix this?

If it isn't doing it elsewhere, I doubt that's the issue, but if you have one on hand, I'd give it a shot.

And that's what really has my brain twisted...running though a field chasing a pig, the mouse works fine. It's as if the menu screens suddenly ramp up the mouse sensitivity 1000%. Mucho frustrating. Anyway, thanks for your input.

Oh and me being a computer hardware tech for a living, you'd think I'd have a stinkin' wired mouse or 10 sitting in a drawer somewhere. A dozen old HD's, old video cards, memory sticks, a box of floppy's (what the hell is a floppy and why do I have some in my closet?) and an old racing wheel/pedals with 2 inches of dust on it. 1 wired mouse? Of course not. Derp!

HAHA! You sound just like me. I have four laptops, two desktops, eight video cards laying around, countless adapters and cables, a couple SATA and even IDE hard drives, some 3.5 floppies, random computer parts (including a dead laptop motherboard,) and lots of trash (I eat and drink around my machines, guilty as charged.) I work a lot with computer stuff as a hobby, but I am no professional thanks for making my day though, letting me know I am not the only weirdo living like this~ My workspace is just cluttered to hell, I guess I gotta organize and sell my stuff, those video cards should be worth something (my oldest card is a 3dfx Voodoo 3, and newest I have laying around is a GeForce GTX 760.)

    Edited:

Oh and add two 5.25 floppies, but who the fuck uses those at ALL?

    hi
i got aan problem with the invalid gfx
i got 2 cpu, desktop and laptop
    My desktop:
    wind 7 pro
    i7 3.4-3.9 (turbobust)
    12gb ram
    gtx 650 2gb
    240 harddrive
    (not finished?
    Asus 22' 1920x1080
(fantastic) no crash, runs really smooth

    My laptop:
    win 8
    i7 4700MQ 2.4
    4gb ram
    intel hd 4600 2gb
    gt 740m 2gb
    15.6' 1366x768
(simple settings) i get the invalide gfx on console on both cpu's but the only 1 that ''crash'' is the laptop.
i already tried disabling the gfx.all but the problem still happens

if someone has some info about this pls post

i will try to get my fps in the difrent cpu's to post later
