yall dont even know whats up

    MB-Winfast 94 PCI express/sata compatible
    BIOS-Phoenix Award Workstation
    CPU-AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
    GPU-MSI GeForce 210 512mb DDR2
    OS-Windows Vista x32
RAM-2gb 1.5gb usable because os and stuff

on lowest settings, i.e. grass.on false grass.displacement false rendering quality 0 i get like 10fps. havent tried manually setting the nvidia control panel to performance. im also running the gpu at base speed, i can probably overclock it to about 15% and still be good on temperatures. but why when i could just replace my ram with something decent(using 1x 1gb, 1x 512mb 2x 256mb) so that would benefit it in so many ways

this rig is 9 years old and counting, been reformatted 3+ times so god knows how much corrupted and fragmented stuff is hiding in that HDD

Was kinda wondering if it will run with max FPS
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M @ 2.60GHz (3.2GHz with Turbo boost)
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT 730M with 4GB Dedicated VRAM
    8GB RAM
    15.6" HD LED LCD
I dont think it will max, but it definitely will run.

You are one of those that would just benefit from a new machine altogether... Nothing is going to improve that, except maybe getting a new graphics card, the 210 is entry-level in its time, and severely outdated.

This is the setup i have for gaming on, below. This can maxx everything in-game @ 1920x1080 resolution.

    -Intel i7 2700k @ 3.5ghz
    -8gb ram ddr3 1333mhz
    -Asus GTX670 4gb DCII cooler
    -128gb SSD + 4x500gb hdd's

I am just about to try out this game on my laptop (specs below). i will post my results in an hour or so):

-Intel i7 3537u @2.0ghz dualcore with Hyperthreading, turboboost to 2.9ghz
    -Nvidia GT740m 2gb (128bit chip, not the 64bit)
    -8gb ddr 1600mhz ram
    -250gb Samsung SSD
    -1366x768 resolution 15,6"

getting 28-45 fps in open areas with trees, animals, zombies etc.

okay so i just ran the game after just having installed the latest 322.12 drivers. with 1366x768 resolution and settings "fastest" im getting between 28-45 fps in open world with a few zombies, animals n 2 friends beside me. stays fluctuating there, so its still a pleasant experience. mostly it lies above 30 fps, which doesnt feel laggy, so im pretty content knowing i can play this game on-the-go :P

Edit: after running the game and then joining a server that had /fpsboost command enabled, it instantly gave me 60fps constant, no dips. so theres always something! i dont mind playing on low graphics if it means itll run like a charm.

    If you have a an nvidia g210,gt220,gt230,gt320,g310,g410,gt420, gt520, gt530, gt540, g610, gt620, gt630, g710, gt720... you will be playing severelly laggy.
Amd equivelant of BAD performance would be 6420, 6670m, 7670m, 7520m, 8570d and anything under these.

stationary PC's will always perform better seeing they use more power/electricity, as well as the PC in itself consuming more wattage = more performance power.

    I have 4gb ram,2.3ghz i5-2410M,amd 6630 on laptop and tried to run it in 1024*768 window 7 64bit
At first i get around 2-4fps then i learn to turn off grass and other option like cloud, interval(i turn off everything i could), also to force lanch option i try every single one but the best fps i got is just arount 10.
Is there anything else i could do? Should i buy a new laptop? Or can i just wait for patchs and will it help?
Ps. I also tried razor game booster, didn't help at all
    Thanks

Based on what I have gathered, a high-end 8-series GPU from Nvidia will still run it on minimum and i think the high-end 4000 series from AMD will on low. CPU doesn't really seem to matter, but a Core 2 Duo seems to be at least what people are running if not better, at around 2.3+ GHz. As for memory, it would seem that 2 would suffice, but I wouldn't recommend that.

    My Specs:
cpu: amd fx-8320 8 core clocked at 3.5 or 3.8 ( cant really remember)
    Gpu: msi gtx 770 2gb
ram: 16 gb gskill ram at 1333
Also, I do have this installed on my ssd but to be honest I dont think that will make a huge difference

I play on fantastic averaging 60 fps (with vsync) If i turn vsync off i get around 80.
Fps sometimes drops to 45 at the lowest and thats only when i am rendering a lot of things or there is a huge gunfight going on.

I'm having major problems with FPS in this game, on any server, vanilla or oxide.
I usually get 20 FPS standing completely still and 10 to 15 FPS when walking or running.

    Here is my setup:
Rust installed on RAMDisk for (fastest possible load times)
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)
    Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 660
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1055T Processor 2.80 GHz
    RAM: 16 GB
Network: 10 Mbps Down / 1 Mbps Up

    My ingame settings
    Code:
    grass.on False
    grass.forceredraw False
    grass.displacement False
    grass.disp_trail_seconds 0
    grass.shadowcast False
    grass.shadowreceive False
    render.level 0.006478675
    render.vsync False
    gfx.ssaa False
    gfx.bloom False
    gfx.grain False
    gfx.ssao False
    gfx.shafts False
    gfx.tonemap False
    env.clouds False
Note changing render settings to either max or lowest in Rust I still get the same FPS (10 -15)
I can play any other multiplayer game just fine, Battlefield 3 / 4 runs flawless on Ultra / max settings.

What seems to be the problem with my constant loss of frames on RUST?

your PC can run at low-mid settings around 30 fps perhaps..maybe little more.. depends how much the CPU is limiting. cause its quite old one.

your macbook problem is gonna be the intel IGP ..if you dont have dedicated GPU, it wont run that good.
lowest settings around 20 fps is my bet..
Mac and linux client arent well optimized atm as well.
I tried the game and i only get around 10-20 fps on fastest settings, what could be the problem ?

    CPU: Intel Pentium E5400 @ 2.70GHz
GPU: 1024MB ATI Radeon HD 4670
Memory: 4,00GB (Since i have 32-bit system it only reads it as 3.25GB - that's what i'm worried about)
    Also my resolution is 1920x1080

I run on fantastic, grass off usually, on a full 75 player server with no issues. Might get choppy a bit with a lot of houses or a huge firefight but I don't really notice. Comp cost me $550 to build.

    It will lag =/.
if u had read the previous pages, i posted some graphics card that could run this game.

    GUYS THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO READ;

a stationary PC will ALWAYS outperform a laptop, obviously depending on the config, but since most people are rocking 4-600 dollar laptops which is the consumer sweetspot, u will experience lagg.

5470 is a media GPU, meant for movie watching in HD and some SIMPLE games. keep that in mind.

for example, a stationary 4850 compared to a 5470 will run horselengths around that card.

like i said to everyone else in this thread, READ THE WHOLE THING. but i understand not everyones into hardware.

your processor is the limiting factor. i love that CPU but its starting to age quiet well atm. BUT you must also remember, this game is NOT optimized yet. meaning coding hasnt been fit for your type of hardware yet.

    Edited:

UNOPTIMIZED GAME !!!! how often musti repeat this! the Game developers have specifically said the game is not up to par in optimizations. so stop whining and just accept the facts. we have to wait, this GAME IS STILL IN ALPHA, THEREFOR BAD FPS for certain setups. i am one of the lucky few who have no problems in game. its all about the setup.

its not the issue with your mac(osx)... its your GPU... thats not meant for gaming.
doesnt really matter which OS you are running, hardware is the important factor mostly.
ofc OSX and Linux client of the game are little worse than windows client atm as well.. but my bet is you are probably able to play at around 20 FPS with lowest settings possible

For those with low grade PC's I built a tool that will boost your framerate. The tool eventually turned into more than just that though :) http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1357804

What about this, also u got any tips what things could be better? (It is a notebook which I could chose between the parts I wanted in)

    Windows 7
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM Quad Core Processor @ 2.30GHz (Auto turbo to 3.3GHz)
    12 GB RAM
    Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 and Nvidia GTX670M - 1.5GB GDDR5
    120GB SSD
    750GB Serial ATA harddisk
    Directx 10
The problem I have with most games is that I cant play on very high/ultra while this notebook(laptop) should be pretty strong for it.
Got any idea what the problem is?

    Thanks
