How well will my computer run Rust?
Windows 8.1 64 Bit
Intel i3-2130 @3.4 GHz
6 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1 GB GDDR5
Thanks
You should be fine, my guess is high or maxed.
Would I get around 30 FPS at high or maxed?
Yup, I would think so.
the last update improved FPS by 10 on a computer that should be running it at 180 FPS
this time I got as far as hitting a tree with a rock three times before freezing
Will it run? let me know asap
Windows 7 64bit
8GB RAM
i5-3470 @ 3.6GHz
GeForce 465 GTX
Definitely will play, not sure how well though. My guess would be medium-high to high, but you might max it too.
How much fps will I get on each setting roughly, without grass?
Thanks in advance
I can't really gauge that, unfortunately, I haven't played with that card or setup, my best guess would be around 45-50 on high, but I am honestly not sure. Wait here for one of the other helpers to answer for you.
Thanks mate. Knowing I might be able to get 45-50 on high is a resolution from that ~20fps on my 430 GT atm!
The 430 GT is an entry-level card for the 400 series, the 465 GTX is a significant step up, it's more a mid-high level card (at least for the 400 series,) so you should be alright. It's outdated, but not severely.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
RAM: 16GB 1333Mhz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6970
CPU: i7 875k @ 3.5Ghz Custom Liquid Cooled with a 360 (3x120mm Fans) Radiator.
SSD:OCZ Agility 4 256GB OS and Recordings
HDD1:WD Blue 1TB Storage And Games
HDD2:WD Blue 320GB Programs
Case: Cooler Master HAF X
That's a pretty high-end rig, I wouldn't be surprised if you could max it, you can definitely play it on high though.
Yeah I don't think you can play Rust you need a better graphics card the best one on the market wont be good enough.
Edited:
I do
Ah, I didn't realize that you were just sharing your rigsorry. Well at least that means I am gauging at least somewhat correctly

Lol yeah

Playing on a Mac OS X Version 10.9.1
Processor: 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256MB
Mac Mini Early 2009
Not running very smoothly :(
Well to be fair, you are rather lacking on the graphics, that is a last-gen card with a really low amount of video memory. Not only that, but you are barely cutting it in the CPU category and are right around spec for memory.
and that's why you don't get a MAC
Let's not devolve this into a Mac Vs. PC argument, please, it is entirely based on personal opinion and usage. I have run both extensively (been about four years since I used a Mac though.) Macs are MUCH MUCH MUCH better for home and general usage and are much more secure. PCs are cheaper and much better for gaming.
GTX 690 SLI
i7 3960x 6 core 3.3ghz
16gb ddr3
8.1
250 RAID 0 ssd (raidr)
+ more
What frames you think I will be able to get?
You should max it at a solid 60+. On a sidenote, iisn't the 690 a dual-GPU card? Why SLI that?![]()
Its a card with 2x690's in it? So that would be 2 cards in SLI even though in same casing? :-D
Fair enough, I suppose![]()
You seem like you know a lot of what your talking about. :)
Do you think mine will run above medium or high settings?
I just bought the Lenovo K450 and it's coming in the mail soon.
Processor: Intel Quad Core i5-4430 (3.00 GHz up to 3.20 GHz, 6MB L2 Cache)
Operating System: Windows 8 Standard 64 - English
GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 630M 2GB Graphics Card
RAM: 8 GB (2 x 4GB) PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz UDIMM Memory
Hard Drive: 1 TB 7200RPM Serial ATA 2.5" Hard Drive
I don't.just making assumptions based on my own tests and what other info people have given me.
Iffy, that is an entry-level 600 series GPU, AND a mobile one, at that. You should be able to play, but probably only on medium, though that's just a guess.
Yeah I know I'm looking forward to getting a GTX 770 Ti but I don't know if I can install that in a Lenovo K450. Can I switch out the 630M for a GTX 770 Ti?
Hi, guys. I'm wondering if my friend's laptop will be able to run Rust at least decently.
These are the specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T6670 2.20GHz
GPU: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
RAM: 3.1 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows 7, 32-bit
While I'm here, these are my specs. Will I run it maxed?
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 XT 2GB Boost
RAM: 8.1 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows 7, 64-bit
Thanks in advance!
...you cant switch a laptop GPUif you want to get a 770, build a desktop.
Edited:
No to the first, high or maxed on the second.
It's a upgradable desktop dude...
Why is it a 630m then? The m indicates mobile, meaning it is a laptop gpu...
Oh then it must just be a 630 lol my bad :P
Haha! Well in that case yes, graphics are switchable. Don't worry about incompatibility, you should have a pci-e x16 lane for that card, and with thay cpu there shouldn't be any worries about bottlenecking.
Okay thanks man your the best!
Alright, I don't know anywhere else to ask, but I am having troubles with finding the right PSU for my Dell Inspiron 660, because I found out that the GPU I got requires a 6 pin connector for the power supply, and it has to have at least 400 Watts. I am looking into a good PSU that would fit in my computer. Here is the one I am looking at ATM.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/80-plus-bronze-certified-power-supply/1306048048.p?id=mp1306048048&skuId=1306048048&st=c ategoryid$abcat0507009&cp=1&lp=13#tab=overview
It meets the requirements, but I don't know if it will fit in my computer. Anyone got an answer?
Regarding the PSU, if it has molex connectors, just get a molex to 6-pin converter and you will be fine, they usually come with the graphics card anyways. As for fitting, I am not sure. Back when I upgraded a prebuilt from HP, I got a new PSU and it fit fine, but was a bit too thick and I ended up taking out the Optical Drive to make the space. That being said, I would recommend getting at least a 550W PSU if you are planning on running a graphics card, they can take quite a lot of power.
I'll probably end up getting the 500W PSU since it's only 10$ more. Really hope I get it soon because I really wanted to play Rust with my new graphics card...
What graphics card are you getting?
I am on an
Asus z87
cpu i7 4770k
GPU 2 gtx 770's
Ram 16GB corsair platinum
I haven't really seen a drop below 90 on average it's about 110-120. Most the time I play on fantastic-Good at full resolution 1920x1080. I do turn the grass off.
