Can someone tell me how to stop this lag please?

    My specs:
    Dell Vostro 1520
    4 GB of RAM
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6670 @ 2.20 GHz 2.20 GHz

I tried all the Launch Settings things but it doesn't work! Only thing that works kind of is turning off the grass but I still get about 5 frames per second. I can run League of Legends at about 30-40 FPS but this is just terrible for some reason! Does anybody have some tips for me please?

Your problem is your graphics card, it's not even suitable for gaming.

    1) You must be running another computer to play LoL
    2) I do not even consider that a graphics card.
    3) The game is in very early alpha, and is not optimized.

lol. i play LoL at max 1080p, i get about 200+ fps. On this i get about 20-30 fps on lowest settings and 720p res. This game is far more resource demanding and not optimized at all. And also in the Unity Engine which is alot more resource demanding then others.

    GTX Titan
780ti is better than a titan and cheaper

770 would be best, but he'd need a whole new computer around that, so he can't even really go in the 600's range

Your entire computer is insufficient to play anything relatively modern.

    Hey Victimize,

I run a laptop with a 540m(http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gp...+GT+540M&id=27). I used to get about 5 FPS. Here are a few things I did to create a smooth gameplay. (you can slowly adjust settings if you want after you've found a playable setting), for example, my laptop scores 700 score on passmark, while my 580s score over 9000 SLIed... and both can play the game fine. Sure you are using integrated graphics, but I'm not convinced you can't play the game yet. At least more then 5 fps...

    1. On launch, choose a low resolution settings... I chose 1280x720 (going lower may help)
    2. On launch, choose Fastest for graphics settings
    3. Turn off windows Aero crap. (assuming you are Win7) Right click on your desktop, click Personalize ==> Choose Windows 7 Basic.
    5. I overwrote ALL my game graphics settings like antialiasing, etc. Intel should have an option like this, just select 3D and Custom Settings and set everything to Performance and disable/lower anything you can. Take a look below for an example of what i'm talking about, you wont see the exact same thing, but it will be similar.
    6. Follow what DoctorToxic mentions in this thread(http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1313306)... I wouldn't worry about all the commands, just do these:

I Found A Way Go To Your Steamapps And Common Go To Rust Go To cfg
Open With Notepad++ Or Notepad Then Paste This

    grass.on False
    grass.forceredraw False
    grass.displacement False
    grass.disp_trail_seconds 1000
    grass.shadowcast False
    grass.shadowreceive False

(alternatively, you can press F1 while in game and just paste these commands in)

    7. finally, run the game full screen. When in game, press alt+enter

Yeah, the FPS isn't AMAZING, but it works. I get 20-40 fps constantly now instead of a laggy 5 fps. haha. Good enough for work.

    Good luck.

Lol I got two titans, and was kicking myself for not getting 2x 780 Ti instead. I just figured that it would be better, I don't know computers too well, I just know how to build and maintain em.

I have 6, with 2 CPU's, and 164 gigs of ram, I use nuclear compressed liquid nitrogen as a cooling system and I can run rust at a whopping

I don't think those are Titans, aren't those Quadros or Teslas? In any case, thanks for the laugh!

Sorry for such a late post. But I have been working so long to get this to work. The suggestion you made didn't do anything for me sadly. Now I feel bad.

I have been trying so much stuff lately and all it looks like is that it's my graphics card. But I can't replace it because it is integrated :(

Go out and buy yourself a new computer, Vic. Sounds like you are in need of an upgrade anyway. I recommend buying a cheap desktop, and getting a medium-range graphics card and power supply. It would cost you a little over $500 likely, but it will run nicely. (Or you can go overkill and invest over 3 grand like I did )
