Guys, Gary, Helk, I will be honest. This game has to be my favorite game. There is so many things that would make it the best for what it is.
The following is my personal ideas, and also ideas from others. I understand how hard it is to make things and place them into games. You guys are an awesome team tho, so I believe it could happen.
Please feel free to comment on my post, agree with me or disagree with me. Please tell me your reasons!
1. Seasons as recommended by jonnymad here
2. Windows that can be crafted in wood or metal. They can be opened and closed and act the same way as doors, slightly weaker than doors.
3. Simple weapon crafting only. Rather than fully decked out guns as currently seen. This would involve sling shots, spears, clubs, all the works. Advanced guns such as semi-auto pistols, SMGS, and rifles can be found only in airdrops.
4. The replacement of zombies would be mutants similar to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series.
5. The option to punch people rather than having to use a weapon.
6. Knives for stabbing things.
7. Mounts. You can ride horses.
8. You can go fishing, and also grow crops.
9. Character customization, which involves race, hair colors, basically everything you would expect in customizing a avatar. Tattoos, piercing, scars.
10. Rivers, ponds, shores, rather than step cliffs.
11. Lighting for houses. Made out of animal fat, cloth, wood, and metal fragments. Making a lantern.
12. Crafting skill. You get better at making things. If you have made the same item many times, it seems logical you would learn how to make it more efficient.
Have I missed anything? Feel free to add things to this list, or simply tell me what you think!

For the character I think you should start out with choosing only your race and hair as well as being naked or censored naked. Other than that these ideas are nice, especially mounts for houses :D. Makeshift weapons and replacement if zombies are already on its way.

I think that is a great list! No reason to disagree with anything in it. I suggested singleplayer mode but seems that people disagree with it, with no good reason. I assume that it's because there wouldn't be so much fresh spawns who don't know anything to KoS.

I have one.. It's because there's basically no point when the game is focused on multiplayer, it makes the player worried that there are dangerous naked people wanting to kill with rocks. It's like saying that you only play battlefield because of the single player.

I like everything but the crafting skills. I don't really like games with level progression.
