Hello!
I am new here ;)
My question is: how can I make my own server? Is there any server client to install on my VPS/dedicated server?
Thanks for answer!

You will have to rent one ;<
I asked this before too, it's sad as i have better and free infrastructure for a Rust server then the one i'm renting atm ;<
Thats bad :/
I hope they will publish server client, I dont like to rent a server when I have way better machine on my own :(
Kinda wish they didn't offer renting ;\. Splits the community apart.
Everyone point and laugh, he has internet explorer!
Jus' Kiddin'OP, the consensus seems to be that people really don't want private servers, but to answer your question, you cannot "make your own server," you have to host through a third party company. It is usually a monthly fee and it really gets expensive fast. I would suggest just enjoying the game instead.
jonnymad so if the other companies can host servers why can't I? I mostly prefer to play on my own server to have joy :D
Couldn't answer you there, haven't ever bothered because I don't have a rig powerful enough for hosting (or rather I might, but I use it for gaming, and I wouldn't want to bog down my performance by hosting.)
Actually, I would prefer having the option to host a server on my own PC. The third party option just sucks in my opinion. A private server on a PC would allow me to play with my friends without throwing money away. Also, if we take up that suggestion that another thread had with and official and private server tab thing. The multiplayer community would cope with that just fine then.
Edit:
Oh yea, and who still uses Internet Explorer?
I would love to run my own server for friends. Maybe the personal servers shouldn't be browsable and I'd have to give out my IP/URL so people can connect.
