Meine Frage war auch, ob ihr bannen würdet wenn eine Gruppe diesen unfug macht und man weiss wer es ist, genau das ist das Problem auf dem jetzigen Server. Jeder weiss wer dafür verantwortlich ist, nur gibt es keine Admins..

i just mentioned that group because of Bammo's question few post back, and when i saw he speaks of group of 12 ppl i got insta flashbacks :)
to be clear - i'm not accusing any players, russians or not, to be responsible for this server attacks, but you must admit - it's big coincidence for this to happen..
and today.. when that big german group i presume "cleaned" that server full of russians.. it smells like their revenge :)
once again.. not accusing, just trolling little bit :)
anyhow.. we must wait for server to get back on, because we don't know for sure if our front doors are all closed, because at the time when server start to lag hard, minute or two before it crashed or get stopped we were just lurking in and out of house, and we couldn' close doors anymore so they could be open.. so we don't have choice but to wait :/

hh well.. that's exactly what i'm doing now :) even though is 2am :=
i wanted to spend my saturday playing rust but that wasn't the case :(
i just wonder how "easy" is to make those kind of attacks.. and find it little strange that hosting companies don't have adequate protection..
funny though.. like week or so, maybe little more, there was same kind of attacks on hosting server where i have my rfactor server.. they were fighting all day.. but fortunately successful :)
well.. i manage to gather some wood, some basic stuff from zombies, and went back home to unload, and timing was perfect.. as i put all things in boxes, server went down like 10 seconds later :)
hope it get's back soon.. and than some nice slow farming, with less ppl, less threat, just enjoying sunrise and shoot some arrows :)

don't know that much about network attacks (although i'm actually network manager :=
but i do understand basics, and know it's kinda easy to perform that kind of attacks.. like you said - download programs and click button..
said that as joke, because you said that they "found the guy" but apparently he know how to mask himself, or have more than one connection, or there are more than one guy..
because if ppl at hosting company have some network data, that would be proceeded to his isp and they would shutdown his connection altogether.. at least that's how i understand..
but little prick is persistent and obv know how to bypass some basic staff..
like i said.. i said that as joke.. i was on server, thinking of going out one more time, but decided to stay and "work on house" and spend wood..
it was like few minutes to morning and i was thinking to go for some more wood, take basic gathering stuff, and then it started to lag and ppl in chat start mentioning lag, but after 3rd time it happened i knew it was same thing again so it was kinda funny to experience that for 3rd time, and hugely frustrating at the same time..

We had a population of 100-120 active players until the DDoS started.
We had to change the IP like JoKiiE already mentioned.
Unfortunately most of these players are not that active to get informed about the new IP.
But still we hope that we can reach our old pupulation again.
Help us to inform everyone you know who played on this server!

Admins fighting in godmode other player.
Full of russians!!! And they are hacking.

skill and 350hours Rust Gameplay is not godmode. Flamer Kiddy. We Are Germany, no russian.

We only use godmode when we get a report for someone else using hacks in any direction possible.
There were 10 guys saying that a group of russian people are hacking.
We gave ourself godmode and ported us to one of them to check them out.
Before anyone reports a hacker we don't even log in as admin.
We especially don't kill anyone with godmode.
Additionally there are only like 3 russians playing on the server.
I know who you are. You were the flamer that said "I report you to Valve"
Here is a video of Effect1, saying I use godmode to kill him.
That's not true we only watched the "hackers". (Video from the russian guy is up there.)
He doesn't cheat.
So please stop flaming when you have no idea about the situation.
Here is the video of this situation. I only stand in the house of the russian guys while Besenviech went outside watching the rest of the building.
