I was wondering if I am able to run "Rust" on my ASUS Laptop before I am certain on buying this game. Anybody know what the minimum specs are for the game? Also, if this helps, I am able to run Garry's Mod at 50-60 FPS on my laptop. Thank you for your help today!

A good program to get is Speccy, run it, then post a screen of your specs that it reads so we'll be able to tell you whether or not you'll be able to run the game.

I would have thought since I can run Garry's Mod fine, that I would have been able to run this game fine as well. Darn.

Gmod runs on the Source engine, Rust is on the Unity engine. Kinda hard to compare the 2...

Garry's Mod and Rust are in two different leagues altogether. Garry's Mod is running on an engine designed for small indoor spaces (ala FPS games) over half a decade ago (around 2005-2006), which in turn was based on an engine almost as old as the entire FPS genre (the Quake engine).
Rust is a massively open world game running on the Unity engine.

Ill just wait until I get a better computer then. Darn, I earned money to buy the game and worked for it. Thank you for clarifying though. :(

Newegg's running lots of computer deals this time of year. The low end is around $500-600 for a somewhat decent gaming machine, though, so start saving ;)

It's not whether or not he's got a laptop, it's about what graphics he has.

I can't see any graphics information in those specs.

a2bradjan, Do you know whether you have onboard graphics (or what kind)?

Eesh. You might be able to run Rust, but performance won't be very good. You'd have to turn the graphics all the way down.

In addition to the generally poor performance of Intel's integrated graphics, Unity has compatibility issues with integrated graphics. You probably wouldn't be able to play this game at all on that setup.

I thought so. I really do not like the Intel Graphics cards so much. I guess I will buy the game once I get my new laptop :D

I have a Pentium III Laptop from around 2000 that runs Gmod it isn't that hard to run.
