Something needs to be done about the player count on the servers, I went onto a server expecting to see 100 or so people online when in reality it only had around 12. This is why so many servers are abandoned...

I've noticed the same issue, not sure if its a bug or the server admins are faking it.

my guess is it's a bug where it's counting all the sleeper bodies on the server rather than the people actually playing

Last night I noticed that 80% of the servers listed 50. The server I went into said 50 but there was more like a dozen in there...

What I think is that it's counting the people joining the server but not the people leaving except under *random* certain circumstances, quite annoying if you ask me and I am sure everyone else agrees.

With the game in it's current state I don't even find this mildly annoying.

I could list 5 things on the server list alone that I find more annoying than the server count being incorrect, I won't speak for everyone as I'm sure not everyone would agree.

It's rather annoying. It's hard to identify which server to actually play on, I feel as if the default count is 50 instead of 0, I join a server with 65 players on and view the player list to see 15-ish players.

The widespread servers has definitely impacted the game negatively with low player count on each.

This feels very true, every group of friends/clan makes their own server and it ends up that there are no large groups on one server so even the clans that made their own server have nothing to do but raid small lone players.

The large amount of servers isn't an issue because people can just go to the servers that have the most people. But the server list shows the wrong number of people. There's a hole in my bucket, my bucket, my bucket ...
