Alright so how can you prevent people from raiding your house? I am curious because one person told me to build foundations all the way around your place and people cant raid you, comes to find out that, that information is false. How can I prevent people from building onto/into my house?

    Thanks I really appreciate it.

There is nothing to prevent players from raiding you, only making it more difficult.

The "foundations-pillar" strategy is used to prevent stairs to be built next to your house, that's it. You force them to work from bottom floor and up when raiding you (they can still reach 2nd floor though).

Another way is making so many metal doors between their possible entry to your loot that it's simply not worth using the C4 to get there. But nothing can keep you safe. This is what Rust is (=

I just want to be able to keep my loot safe. They built stairs on the side of my house and then they took down my wood walls and raided everything

Is it possible for me to destroy all of thiese stairs and what not?

If you want to stay safe, best way ive found is to build atleast a 3x3 house, with your lootroom being in the center square. Stick some stairs in a different square for each level, putting as many walls and doors between entry onto the floor and exit off the floor, build yourself up high and do the antistairs technique ( Build a ring of foundations around your house with a pillar in the middle ) and fill the entire damn thing with metal doors. For the size of the house, the amount of C4 itd take to even go the most direct path is huge.

I missed your actual question, you CAN destroy the stairs around your existing house, just take a pickaxe to them for a few hits and the actual stair piece will get destroyed although the pillars and foundations are pretty much permanent so you might need to stick a pillar in the middle to prevent more stairs.

Thanks for the help! Now can i get rid of thiese stairs people used to raid me?
You can indeed, and the foundations they used saved you making them if you choose to put pillars in them :)

Alright so i put foundations all around my place and put a pillers in the middle of each foundation, destroyed all of the stairs the raiders made. Is there anything else i need to do to prevent stair raids?

    Thanks again

Theres isnt a set limit for what you can do, you could make another ring of foundations if you are REALLY paranoid but in the end, if people want to raid you, they will find a way.

Go for a big house thatl take roughly 100 C4 to get through the first floor or go for a small but smart house that doesnt look as tempting to raid.

Think like a bandit who wants to raid houses and get the easy loot that someone else worked to obtain. Which house or building looks like the biggest payoff? A giant house with metal doors throughout? Or a 1x1 or 2x2 with metal doors? If I were wanting to raid a house it would be the bigger the better. My house has luckily been untouched for 3 days now because it looks unassuming.

Alright cool, My house is only 3 stories high, I figured the more metal doors I could get in there the better. I also didnt know wood walls were so easily destroyable. Im just scared to not make my house high in the sky when people can just blow up the walls.

But sadly at this point I have absolutely nothing, no wood resources guns or anything, so I am back at square one with a house lmao.

Making the inside of your house somewhat of a maze with several doors is always a good way.
That way, they will hopefully fail enough to give up.

I think i kind of screwed that up my house is only build on 4 foundations.

Then I have foundations surrounding the entire house with pillars in the middle of each foundation.

If your loot room has even one wall exposed to the outside, its not as secure as needs be.
