    I have the same problem. I'm not sure what they plan to do about this. I will be interested to see a more detailed development on the issue.

    Same here,
    have been trying to connect to one server it says "appcrash"
    now a new error...

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The game crashed.
    The crash report folder name "2013-11-18_162556" next to the game executable.
    It would be great if you'd sent it to the developer of the game!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    anyone have the same pop-out... =.=...
    I dunno how to send to game developer but please help!!
    I wanna kill zombies!! ^.^

    My best guess is that is similar to the "out of memory" crash from minecraft.
    I am using a relatively old PC, 32 bit OS with 4 gigs of ram. Since the new patch, you need 2 gigs of ram to run the game.
    Since 32 bit systems can't assign more ram to minecraft, i suppose this could also be the case for rust.

    We can only wait for them to fix the memory leak so that you don't need 2 gigs to run the game.

    Hi guys, try opting into the developer beta for now and let me know if it works

    To do this, right click on rust in steam, go to properties, betas, and opt in. It should download an update after that.

    I've gone to steam and went to properties, bata and there is no opt in. only say ( NONE-Opt out of all beta programs) pull down the list and it reads (Dev-live developer branch).Now please note I did Verify integrity of game cache and got 100%, and still unable to play the game, crashing once you try to get on the server.

    As a temporary fix you can try this

    1. Launch rust from steam but don't click play, i.e. keep the resolution selection window open.

    2. Navigate to your steam folder\SteamApps\common\UntitledApp\bundles\ and delete "navmesh.000.unity3d" (do not delete anything else)

    3. click play/start/whatever on the resolution window

    Let me know if it works

    if it worked thanks, but sometimes keeps crashing, it should be the problem?

    To force rust to OpenGL mode, open Steam, open the Preferences of the game rust, then edit the start parameters and add: "-force-opengl". That solved the problem for me. The problem is, if you have just 4 Gig RAM rust consumes too much memory on loading the map and crashes.
    (After forcing rust to use opengl the crashes on start are not completely gone, but in the most cases the game will start - just try a few times)

    I solved this problem. If you take this error "Error occurred at 2013-11-20_024152.
    C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\rust\rust.exe, run by CHECHE.
    95% memory in use.
    2043 MB physical memory [87 MB free].
    0 MB paging file [2407 MB free].
    2048 MB user address space [57 MB free].
    Read from location 00000004 caused an access violation." you must be using win7 32-bit (X86)..
    I installed a second operation system as Win7 64bit (x64). And now, im playing..

    Because maximum 3gb ram working on win7 32bit, and rust the game using 4gb ram.

    Enjoy.
