    I have tried disabling and enabling the new grass displacement feature, both have no effect on the bug, its unplayable as it drives me insane, none o fthe different graphics settings had any effect as well

    Same here. I can't play with the grass on at all. No video, but it is exactly as described.

    Push F1 in game

    In the console type, grass.on false
    Hit Enter.
    Voila!

    Im having same issue since patch .. frame rate dips and glitches on grass like the video .. Very annoying and effects frame rate also

    Just hook DrawIndexedPrimitive, get the streamsource for the d3d device, and return 0 when stride 44 is found
    it's honestly simple, fix it yourself guys

    but .. MAN the framerate is crap now .. Its like playing NETHER .. there was me promoting this game saying the fps is amazing yesterday and now ... :( - patience I guess... tis alpha afterall...

    Yea he patched it and when it went live it had some side effects just sit back and wait for fix and disable it until patched again. <3 They are doing such a good job at listening to us and responding

    We're going to do the best we can to look at it, for now I guess just turn the grass off,

    Has anyone had this grass flicker problem with an ATI card?

    Also, try updating ( or downgrading :o ) your drivers?

    Grass didn't flicker on the last live build. But it does now. I confirmed by rolling back my rust files.

    Apparently this issue is caused by the game now running on DirectX9 by default, if you force the game to run on DirectX11, it will fix the grass flickering. It worked for me at least...

    Yeah I have an ATI. I just have to disable my grass to play.

    Same for me, I look one way and the grass is fine, but I look a certain way, and the grass flickers terribly.

    At first I thought it was because of my new GPU, but I see others are having the same problem.

    What DirectX Level do I put into the launch options? I've read up that you don't put in simply 11, it's numbers such as 70, 80, etc.

    Try turning 'texture filtering' to 'enabled' or 'off' instead of 'forced on'

    Hello,

    I just bought RUST on Steam yesterday and love it, but also have the grass flicker AND more than half of the people on the official Server had it too as I asked about it in chat.

    This should be solved asap as more people buy in on steam early access. It should be fixed without people tweaking themself as its almost the only anoying thing currently ...

    Very nice early access alpha, great job !

    P.s. I was almost disappointed to read that the problem exists since 3 weeks and the patch on 11.12.2013 did not contain a fix already
