That's Not admin abuse thats the server rules
Some one said theres a server for everyone.If you don't like quicker crafting or more air drops the server isnt for you...

It kind of sucks all these admins going around tainting the "admin" name even admins who are legit and play without using their "powers".
I am an admin on our server, and it feels like every time I get into a fight and win im instantly called a cheater and blamed for using "admin powers and godmode" to win the fight. At first it was kind of funny, but now it's just annoying.

That's the reality of it though... perception is reality. If you win, you're a cheater.
Now legitimately having spotted a real cheater... was far more annoying.
Sorry to hear this though Bigzz... it's just how children are. Gotta realize some people will never be satisfied and complain about everything.
As a side note to this entire thread... Why is this thread not locked? It's been addressed numerous times, and Helk even commented to say it's not going away. Lock this shit.

Ya...I am a great Admin. I placed our server info in a previous post in this thread. LITERALLY....it is a solution that you will love. We have a bunch of cool people but we would love more to mix it up....as I have become friends with most of the guys on our server I feel back shooting them lol ...
No more QQing need happen. I do not dislike anyone who is for the removing of admin abilities. I completely disagree but I would still love to have any one of you join us and have fun killing and pillaging =)!!
I am giving you a great solution, we have a 200 pop and I am not even an admin until you f bomb 20 times in my chat or start hacking then its just a simple ban and move on.
=)
I hope you figure out what you want soon cause I can nearly guarantee by the impression I have gotten from devs when they post that your request will never happen...its just not on their roadmap.

He can kill people via console by teleporting him 1000ft in the air, and he sure can give himself items, every item in the game in fact.

I wish some of the commands was locked too, thats why i opened my own server so i wont see any more admin abuseing but like i told other people is that i cant prove that im not admin abuseing just give you my word.

Just an example a naked admin with like 20 c4 named taresh who cheated 3 airplanes in a row(on Eu-Central), tried to get into a metalbase.And killed one of my friends with Console!
It is kinda ridicolous to advertise rust servers with a sentence like this "With rCon you can give items (to you/other players/all players), enable god-mode, teleport to players and much more." I mean are you f****** serious.

Perfect example of how to run a server. Find people you know and trust. Give them a chance with admin, and don't give it back if they fuck it up.
I'm the only admin on that server right now, seeing as it's mine, and I'll state it bluntly: No one has access to it but me for that very reason. When I decide to pick up and admin or two, then I will start watching for admin abusers. Until then, I have absolutely nothing to worry about.

same with me & a friend. in past 2 days so many hackers have showed up. i'v had just bit ago player quit because he wanted me to blow his door so i did he stood at C4 & died & blammed me then rage quiting. >.>
people dont get that most admins dont abuse. i mean sure i'll build myself a metal house. i'll build a Trade outpost or camps set up around server for people to use.. i run a pve server . i accidently had pvp turned on so they died and accused me of admin abuse. i'm to point i'm now banning anyone for talking shit. i sit here since i work at home. 15h a day to be a admin.

I don't see a problem with giving admins commands for their own servers they own of course it is always open to abuse which is why you simply do not play on those servers you play on public servers.
Especially since the game isn't an actual MMO but its a satand-alone game where players have to spend real money monthly to rent a server, or buy their own hardware/internet connection and run a server the player should have full customization rights with the software on their own servers.

I'm a server owner and I need all the commands and probably allot more to run a busy server with succes.
For example we try to organize events. Last event we made was a 3 stories high maze of 10 x 22.
It needs to be metal because decay options are not that configurable. And you want to re-use that maze. Would be a complete waste to spend a entire day of building when next week It's gone cause of decay.
For these events I "Spawn" the needed items such as foundations, walls, ceilings, etc.
We just build it very far away so people won't have any use for them. nor can reach them.
We also use teleport to move players to the event (because if people would need to walk, they would either not find it or simply just don't attend)
I don't see myself mining, gathering and crafting for weeks/months to build a maze with a cost over 25k Low Quality Metal so I can organize a event for the server players. Heck I got better things to do.
The post the OP made literally sickens me. Such disrespect for server owners / admins.
Admins can now already barely play the game on their own server (Which they PAYING for).
The reason behind it is that people like you don't think before they start topics.
Your reasoning seams to work in a way like this.
Admin has metal house? ABUSE!
Admin has C4? ABUSE!
Admin raids me? ABUSE!
Admin shoots me? ABUSE!
Although a public log file would deliver more clarity on admin abuse. If I for example would spawn in 250 metal foundations to build an Event structure.
I would still get named admin abuser. Even if It's for entertaining the server players!
So I don't see that as a proper solution. But I do wish there was some kind of system that allows an admin to both play and be a good admin.
Conclusion:
The admin powers are needed and could be used for multiple reasons. Example given above.
Not ALL admins are abusing their powers. Though I cannot deny that some are.
People should have more respect for admins and server owners, especially think before they condemn / accuse someone of abusing.

why do people insist on changing the game because of player actions? Dont like abusive admins? go to a different server. Problem solved. WHen you play a game with heavy player involvment to how the experience turns out, you are bound to find a bunch of asshats. Find a server with less asshats

More of these really stupid posts. If you don't like how the admin is handling the server stop playing it. Their buy-in for paying for a community server is they have admin rights. Don't like it find another server. They are paying for that server. Just because you do not agree with them and pretty leach on their server does not mean their ability to moderate their server should be limited.

This "admin abuse" thing really needs to stop. Unless a player has actually lived a day in the shoes of a Rust admin, they have no idea what they are talking about. Admins have to deal with an enormous amount of issues, one of the biggest in being keeping their server population up to justify the cost (if that's what they're in it for). There are some players that bring bad crowds with them and essentially kill your entire population with their antics.
Sorry, but the admin has every right to kick or ban you if he/she is footing the bill and you're killing his server with your antics.
