Post #41To tell the truth I can't think of anything but good out of this. I wasn't part of Rust Dynasty when the videos above were recorded but god I miss the old times aswell. This is something that I'll personally give a try.

Concept is great, administrators have zero ability to enforce the rules, however, and people are getting away with destroying people's walls and doors and killing them while sleeping at all times of the day and stealing all their stuff, completely outside the hours of the purge.
Server is just like all the rest except you can't kill the guy while he's blowing up your building and stealing all your shit and they do it while yer asleep and not expecting it cause it's againt eh rules...but nothing to stop them, they get away with it.
Enough is enough. Concept is great, thought i'd found an amazing server, but it's not so amazing thanks to utter deficiency in admin controls over the game.

You are absolutely 100% right. There is nothing we can realistically do atm to enforce the "no stealing" and "no killing" sleepers throughout the times of non-purge without having 20+ admins kicking and banning everyone- which will only lead to more risk of admin abuse.
We're hoping that the developers will provide more support/ customization and modding capabilities to server administrators regarding rcon in the near future. i.e preventing players from damaging property during the day or completely disabling C4 throughout the times of non-purge.
Our admin team has a lot fantastic ideas- and our server would be exceptional if the tools are given to us. Unfortunately its not our fault. We can only work with what limited tools we have. If our concept/ idea doesn't work, we simply wont be paying for next month- because what would be the point? Our purge server would be the exact same as official servers- except with no players.
I hope the developers will soon clarify or give a clear indication of whether they intend to provide more customization and modding support to server owners within the near future. Even if it is just a brief post to inform us if they have it planned. Otherwise "the purge" idea, "project nostalgia", "Arena League" and any other diverse servers with good ideas will in all probability die off.
Rust is an epic game, and in my opinion is still in a pre, pre-alpha state. Of course its going to take some time to polish and add more features. However, content and meta game is still lacking- similar to when I first joined Rust almost 6 months ago. What better way for developers to test out new ideas or plan future expansion than to let the player-owned servers run wild with modding.

We have got a spare server to use for events and admin testing. We may turn this into a US server but this is still in discussion. If the EU continues the way it is we might merge the two servers to create better connection for regular players.
Yeah unfortunately we can't do much about the griefers during PvE atm. But we feel that more tools will be coming out soon which hopefully will make the purge a much better concept.

We're currently experiencing a bit of lag, after contacting Playrust.eu apparently they're getting DDoS'd.

Our Purge server is currently down and we are working with the server provider to get it back up and running after the recent update

As mentioned: Just run a Steam Update (Stable) from the control panel. Also sent out a mail :)

It's all fixed now. Yeah i couldn't gain access, the control panel wouldn't load I'm guessing because the amount of people on their own control panels trying to update?
Update: we've turned this into a Non Sleeper until the c4 damage is nerfed during PvE
Also you have to find us in the 'Modded' tab

This is a really awesome server. I can't wait to try it out later, I really love the concept.

I'm glad people are enjoying the server. Once we hopefully get more tools at our disposal to prevent griefers during PvE hours i believe this will become very popular.
We now have some regulars using the teamspeak which has been great! I also encourage people that are new to the game but want to have a go at PvP to try and team up with some guys. Your playing experience will be greatly enhanced in the world of Rust.

We had a record number playing the purge past night. Was great to see people log in to protect their belongings.
Hopefully next weekend will be even bigger!

Banned two players for 'duping' last night.
I noticed one kept rejoining the game once ever minute a number of times so i spawned invisible armour and teleported to them. Gathered a few screenshots for evidence.
Looked inside their crates and they have shit loads of stuff.
As they haven't replied to this thread im guessing they've moved on.
However their base & items wont be touched for another day. If i don't hear from them or they don't produce enough evidence to counter this claim im going to delete the items and keep the ban.

Still a great concept, just need a little more admin control, it would be nice if PvE would mean buildings can't be raided and sleepers couldn't be killed.
I guess it's really just a matter of time waiting to see what the team does with the game

We've had reports that the server was rolled back, i've confirmed with my admins (those who have the power to do so) that this wasn't done by us.
I'm going to raise a ticket with Playrust.eu about what's going on.
Regarding activity, personally i haven't been online much due to a project at work is nearing its deadline.
Also we're lacking tools to properly implement our Purge idea and many people are becoming frustrated to griefing during PvE time.
I'm confident that when we get these tools to properly implement the purge we'll become very popular and with remote rcon we'll be launching a US server.

This is currently on hold. We have cancelled the server for the time being due to lack of admin tools to properly implement our idea.
We now have what we need to smoothly operate it e.g remote rcon but awaiting for an option to turn C4 dmg off due to griefing.

server has a good idea but the admins were mass spawning airdrops as soon as i joined, so i left already. i can obviously tell there's admin abuse. i know this is an EU server but barely anyone spoke English either. just not worth it. too bad, i like the idea.

Are you sure you have the right server? We've had this server closed for around 2 months now.
I was on the server for quite a bit and most people spoke English.

Edit - I cancelled this with playrust.eu 2 months ago so if you have joined just now it's not being run/hosted by us.

Sorry to everyone. This server has been closed by our admin team, due to lack of admin tools.
Its possible that we are going to set it up again in the future if modding/ admin tools are implemented. Until then we are not operating a rust server.
WE ARE NOT OPERATING ANY JESTERS SERVER. OUR SERVER IP HAS BEEN RECYCLED AND WE ARE NOT IN ANY WAY AFFILIATED WITH ANY OTHER SERVERS WITH JESTERS IN THE NAME.
