This is currently on hold. We have cancelled the server for the time being due to lack of admin tools to properly implement our idea.
We now have what we need to smoothly operate it e.g remote rcon but awaiting for an option to turn C4 dmg off due to griefing.

The Jesters would like to extend to you,

To participate in our purge
The purge starts every evening on our Rust server at 18:00GMT and ends at 21:00 GMT
There are NO rules throughout the times of the purge
Server Rules for the remainder of the day (21:00 to 18:00)
No PvP - Server is automatically changed to PvE
No Damaging property
No Greifing - placing building items within close proximity of others
No Stealing items
Current number of players banned for Hacking and Wall Glitching: 3
More Details: (even more details can be found on our forums at jestersnc.com)
+ We have experienced Battlefield 4, Arma 3, Teamfortress Server Admins- THAT NEVER ABUSE THEIR POWER
+ We do not need to restart the server to enable the purge (ie. change from PVE to PVP mode)
+ The server is automatically changed to PVE throughout the times of non-purge and to PvP during the time of 18:00 to 21:00 GMT. Admins will instantly ban anyone attempting to grief, steal or damage property during the times of non purge until we can code/mod/install automatic banning/ kicking from our server)
+ Similar to Rust- our purge server is in alpha. We currently have modders/ developers waiting for more permissions/ abilities to access the rcon config files, so that our purge server can run more smoothly and independently of player admins)
+ Hackers/ wall glitchers will be permanently banned from the server regardless of the times of purge / non purge
+ All admins are long-term Jesters and are a part of the Jesters leadership team. All admins are forbidden from spawning any items, teleporting players or exploiting mod powers whatsoever. Any Admins caught abusing their power will be kicked from the jesters leadership, banned from the jesters and banned from our server (we do not tolerate admin abuse whatsoever).
+ New players are very welcome and are encouraged to ask any questions and advise on our server during the times on non-purge. All players will be treated fairly (until the hours of the purge from 18:00 to 21:00- when all players can fight each other)
+ Sleepers are on- but are only vulnerable within the hours of the purge (18:00 to 21:00)
+ PvP is deactivated from 21:00 to 18:00 GMT
+ PvP is activated from 18:00 to 21:00 GMT
+ What we don't want is a group of Jesters (or another large community) dicking on the smaller guy who is starting off. (see future roadmap for details)
+ We want all players to have an equal chance to start off, setup a base and prepare an adequate defense/ offense for the times of the purge
+ We want to help all new players to the game and prepare them for the purge each evening
+ we want to build up a regular playerbase that enjoy trolling and smacktalking but at the same time realize that a large number of players on the server = more fun times in the evening
+ Obviously we are not able to be everywhere on the server 24/7 - (see future roadmap for details)
Future Roadmap: (this is dependent on whether the Rust team releases more rcon configurations)
+ We are trying to create Tribes that can be formed on our teamspeak and forums that all players can apply to join on our server. (With a maximum Tribe number limit)
+ We want all players to have a chance at starting off in Rust- without being instantly killed by 3 guys with M4s and full Kevlar. This is achieved through our purge server i.e PvP only between 18:00 and 21:00 GMT (the hours may be slightly adjusted)
+ We are trying to create a warning Siren, that gives a warning to all players that the Purge is about to commence (i.e the Siren from Silent Hill)
+ We are trying to create an automatic Message that warns players that the purge is about to commence
+ We are trying to create a message of the day that lets players know our forums and teamspeak details.
+ We want to enforce rules against griefing and stealing during the hours of non-purge (which is what our admins are currently manually monitoring)
+ We are trying to create tutorials and guides on our forums for the newbies in rust
+ We are trying to let our tribes, groups and players claim areas of the map so that others cannot place building items within their territory (far future)

I really hope so. We were cautious as to whether to release the details now or wait until the rust team allow us to automatically change the server from PvE to PvP on the server + other options (right now its done manually each evening). Our developers are hoping for more configuration on the rcon files. However, we decided to release our plans now in order to build up our player base up for tomorrow night. (sunday evening= peak time)
Looking forward to our first purge tomorrow night at 18:00 GMT :)
Maybe we can have a good old Jesters vs Facepunch communtity, if they are still willing :):)

i get the idea put it seems so stupid that there is rules for the day that seems like it would suck. Im sorry but i give it a thumbs down.

rules during the day= a chance for the newbies to get setup instead of getting instapopped by two guys with m4 + full Kevlar.
The Jesters were active when there used to be only 1 rust server. We used to be 20+ guys with M4's and full Kevlar and we used to shit on all the newbies (as you can see in the below video).
+ We quickly realized the flaw in the game that totally shit on new players and would destroy activity on a server.
+ Hopefully our server will create an environment that lets newbies start off and prepare for an evening of chaos.
+ For the more experienced players: many will leave and forget our server during the day- but come 18:00 GMT- lots of the more experienced players will log on to defend their shit and create chaos in the daily purge.

Can you elaborate a little further on how this seems stupid and how it would suck?
In the Jesters we've been on both sides of the story that we have been the raiders and the guys being raided... On a lot of the servers there is a KOS attitude which means a lot of people cannot get "started" in their rust experience and actually get any further thaan running around naked in the middle of nowhere.
In this version you have 21 hours of peace and 3 hours of complete and utter madness when the clock hits 18:00 GMT it's a free for all, defend or attack at this point it's your choice. we are giving people time which is one of the things that is not balanced at the moment, you get Kevlar Klans running around kicking the crap out of every other person on the server

Purge update:
I only caught the last 30 mins and was glad to see many new faces logging on.
It was funny to see some guys logging on after the purge and asking is it over!
A member suggested that maybe we should spawn one or two more airdrops during the purge which i will probably implement.
It's also worth noting that for balance Jesters aren't teaming up in one massive group, we've split up into groups of 2-3 killing other Jesters. We don't want to steamroll over small groups and noobs as it won't be fun and it'll ruin their experience of the game.

Yes this is a sleeper server. This is to encourage people to log on and defend their homes.
We do have us, the Jesters group to join however there are many more individuals looking to team up, we do have teamspeak facilities for small groups to use as well.

*If you look at our Future Roadmap we are trying to cater for clans and small bands of players, at the same time ensuring that none of the clans or gangs grow too large.

Spoke to my admins a few minutes ago. They haven't kicked/banned anyone from the server within the past 24 hours.
The server lists are buggy atm and our server might not being coming up on the list. Have you tried bringing up the console by pressing F1, type net.connect 84.200.193.110:28030
Only 3 people have been kicked since the server started (2 for wall glitching/ hacking and 1 for abusive harassment of another player through the voip over an extensive period.)
I recall your name and don't understand how you claim to have been kicked.

I joined the clan jesters. I was welcomed inside their base, and made a sleeping bag there etc. The next day my sleeping bag was broken and my sleeper was killed..

This server is the perfect mix for people who like the film "The Purge" and like PvE AND PvP. 21 hours of hardcore resource collecting no need for someone to shotgun u in the face whilst collecting resources, and 3 hours of murder and crime. This little time to PvP is excellent as people go crazy with M4's and C4's destroying others homes and killing them. Loot galore for 3 hours of the day, no one to tell you you can't.

All of the Jesters sleepers were killed and all of our stuff was stolen by other players on the server.
Just because you played with our "team" (i.e the admin team") doesn't mean you are invulnerable from other players at night. This is an example of our own admin team getting killed and robbed. This is a testament to how fair we are, and how we aren't untouchable "gods" on the server.
THINK! before you post next time, otherwise you will look like an idiot. You weren't kicked from our group, you were killed by other players.
People like you, who don't understand the unforgiving nature of this game piss me off and damage good servers by crying "admin abuse" when your death has nothing to do with admins or "clan". Its your own stupid fault for leaving for 2 days and then expecting all your stuff to be there when you come back...this isn't a 24/7 PVE server.

Hey - we have plenty of US players on the game currently with no connection issues. Maybe you should try and see how it runs?
Apricosomoso - it seems you've got confused with what happened. Sleepers is on. When the game is PvE people can still destroy your body. Unfortunately many jesters don't play during the day as most of us have work so the same happened to them
