Post #1I don't expect this to have a high priority, but will you please add an option to blur out the naughty bits. I don't care while I'm playing the game, but my kids like to come up and watch me play some times. That isn't something I want to expose them to. I hope you take this request seriously. I'm not asking you to blur this for everyone, but to simply make it an option. Thank you for considering this request.

It's understandable, but this game is meant for a mature audience. If you don't wanna expose the kids to things like Rust, then play when their gone or lock them out of the room, simple.

Well yes, but some players also don't want to turn around and get slapped in the face by a penis while a bambi is hitting you with a rock. Granted it is of little priority since the game will not change, but it is awkward to be playing this on my laptop and have a friend come up and ask why I am chasing a naked dude...

Well, like i said, its not a major importance. I will play the game regardless. I'm just saying it would be a cool, but not needed, option. Or just make the default player setting have rags. Can I take this to mean you won't even consider this as an option? Even though I know disagreeing with you will make the community hate me, I disagree.
1 - If the shooting mechanism were as realistic as the naked man, I wouldn't let my young kids watch that either.
2 - I so rarely get to the point where I have sufficient equipment to kill another player that it has never come up.
So for you to say that I'm making this distinction is just ignorant. There are many violent video games that I play that I would never let my children watch.

It's not a matter of how graphic the violence is but rather the message you're sending to a young mind when a little nudity is horrific but murdering people is just fine. It's a seriously messed up way to look at things...

Its just unnecessary. It is so strange how much you guys love the feature. Players should at least start with some torn up clothes and can take them off if they want. But that probably will never happen because you guys sure love seeing penises everywhere.

I think the devs' responses on this issue in past threads can be summed up as, the above attitude is precisely why nudity will remain in Rust.

No offense but that is the stupidest reason to leave a feature in. "Some people are being immature about the nudity so fuck all the people with legitimate reasons for disliking it we do whatever we want". I don't think that is a good reason to leave it in. It amazes me how much it is constantly defended.

But it is a reasonable question, maybe not the way he stated it, but a question none the less. Im curious of why its such a big deal that we keep a naked player model. Now granted, i WILL enjoy the game whether or not i am killing a naked man or a clothed one, but i will admit that i would rather see a hundred clothed ones then naked ones running around.

Give a constructive reason other than "I don't want to look at dicks" why Rust should change the nudity out. Make an actual argument as to why it needs to be changed other than "it makes me uncomfortable to see penis".

I think my post went way over your head. Its already evident that its their game and they do what they want. Its why they still ARE naked. I was only asking if they stated a reason why they wanted to make bambis in the first place. And also, i said i would enjoy the game no matter what, this is all personal opinion. We are testing the game in the first place to give feedback.

Though that may not be the only argument, it is still a valid one. They gain nothing from leaving it nude. If they want it, they will keep it. Obviously we are just expressing our thoughts. But that's why i believe he said make it an "option". So if you wanted to keep looking at your digital penises, it will be your choice.

1. Youtube. Many big youtubers fear posting Rust because of the nudity and this prevents free advertisements and prevents some great series from being made
2. Makes no sense. If you were some random survivor in the wilderness you wouldn't be naked. You would start out with clothes with i think should be ruined by the time you control your character. It would look really cool and make a whole lot more sense.
3. People who can handle it, but rather not. People who aren't mature enough to be able to handle the sight of a penis shouldn't be playing the game in the first place. But when it gets to the point where it's kind of embarrassing to tell people about the game I think it becomes unnecessary.
Give me three good reasons on why it should be in the game

other than "i see no reason to have dicks" what are you trying to say? they don't need a reason, they want to have full nudity in the game, which isn't a problem to people that aren't obviously scared to see what humans really look like.

And i believe you missed the whole point of this whole thread. He only shared his views, as did i. He did say he didnt expect it to be high priority. We both think their should be an option. YOU are the one who turned it into an argument where we only shared our ideas. Frankly, I have yet to see a single legitimate reason. I'll tell you specifically why I defend it. The fact of this is, they want nudity. If they ever want to get rid of nudity, they will. The argument started because he was requesting it be added, and other people don't want that option to be added. All you are trying to say is "why is it necessary" when it doesn't matter whether it's necessary, because it doesn't need to be. You could say half of the things in this game are unnecessary with that argument, but it doesn't mean it is a good argument.
