Anyone know the name of font #1?

Rust as a name gives the indication that the game is gritty and unclean etc, so I believe that the font should represent this quality.

#2, #3 or even #4 could do the trick.

JUST DON'T USE #1. It looks even more retarded than the current font.

I am gonna be honest. All these suck, I personally like Freckle Face font. If you want a new font, make your own Garry, don't use someone else's It'll be more unique that way. dafont.com isn't the only solution lol

    Hi Garry,

I'm a graphic designer and you should really take some time for the right identity for rust.
A recognizable ID is worth alot as it helps identifying a product instantly.

I like the lowercase approach and the dot, it's uncommon an a step in the right direction but as stated above, it needs to be custom build.

Splatter/trashlike deco works at a certain size but renders a logo unscalable (it will work at medium dimensions but will look crap at small or huge sizes)
Also, it's overused in all those zombie survival clones out there atm.
rust. is different, so should be the logo.

Having some kind of "icon" that is a part of the final logo/textbanner should also be your aim as it will give you the option to decline game.exe icons, favicons, avatars, watermaks for videos and sshots and whatnot.
It's always good to have both a square logo/icon plus the txtlogo.

Hit me up over my forumemail if you want (free) help with a new logo/illustration for rust.
If not, then please go for something clean and slick.
Stencil fonts could match rust.'s atmosphere as they are often used in industrial/military contexts.

    See attached examples.

I don't like any of these... Real graphic designers might use a font as a reference, but don't use the font. Make your own.

#1 is my favourite. From a typography point of view, I would highly recommend going with a clean font like that one. The other ones look terrible/are illegible at different sizes.

Hmm your post doesn't make sense to me.

I'm trying to be constructive. I just did a dirty sketch to give an idea.

"make your own" Barely no graphic designer draws his own fonts as creating a usable font takes years of dedication or a team working on. I ain't talking about drawing a few glyphs for some 0815-project.
If you give feedback, read what i wrote and post your opinion aka. stay on topic.

I just enjoyed gmod back in the days, just discovered rust and feel garry is one of the good guys in the gamingindustry so i offer my help if needed.
