Hopefully if you are reading this post then you too are about tired of the hackers that have been running wild on the Rust servers. As players of the game I feel like it is also out responsibility to voice our opinions about what we like and dislike in the game so Facepunch, as developers are able to listen to the public and in the end make Rust a better game. Don't get me wrong, the migration to Steam is a lovely thing, but the number one thing on my mind is the hackers. What good is the game on Steam if no one is having a good time because of hackers mucking it all up. I suppose what I am asking is if Facepunch is going to, or is already in the process of dealing with all of the hackers. They are definitely taking away from my experience as well as a vast majority of other peoples experiences. I understand that the game is still in Alpha but doesn't it seem like hacking/ hackers is something that should be dealt with ASAP? I had a friend whom I convinced to get the game yesterday, we spent about... eight hours or so on the server and I felt bad because the entire time we were just being killed by hackers. It doesn't make a good impression to new comers, and then in the chance we did survive long enough to make a camp the hackers would literally fly in, steal our stuff, kill us and leave. Long story short, Facepunch, please do something about all the hackers ruining the game. If you actually stuck through the entire rant and are currently reading this, if you too would like to say something or pitch into the effort somehow, feel free to respond. I would happily try and make a small team that dedicates time to finding and exposing hackers or what have you to possibly clean the game up a bit. Thanks.

I completely agree, I'm sick to death of spending several hours working on a base only to have it destroyed in minutes by some hacker!
This issue is putting a lot of people off of rust, myself included.

Until they fix this no clip issue I'm done with this game. I can deal with alot of the BS, but now people are simply walking in through my walls and doors. What's the point of even building a base when players can walk through them and steal everything?

I feel there should be a poll thread over how many people just don't play anymore due to hackers. I haven't played since sleepers were implimented, not because it's a bad feature but because its pointless to play when hackers just plot in and kill you when you're offline in your base

How does one start a poll? I would happily start one because, if issues such as hackers aren't brought to some serious light then it wont be taken care of. I am still playing the game but it is slowly tearing me away from it when all my camps are trashed and raided by hackers.

So last night we were raided by Batman and a couple of his friends (can only assume the rest of the justice league)on WEST 1 for about an hour. Doing the super jump hack, they would noclip in and attempted to steal our gear. We defended the home killing them repeatedly (as they were naked with rocks only) but once we logged off they came back (they new we logged because there is a server wide announcement " Hey this dude left go steal his shit"). No clipped in once more with no one to push pack killed us all in our sleep and took everything we had.
By the way calling these guys hackers (guilty of it myself) really is giving them far to much credit and diluting the meaning of the word. They are just jack asses with a Game Genie.(circa 1988)
Gary-Thanks for putting together what im sure will be a really fun game to play once its live. Ill be back after hackers are dealt with You are losing a vocal fan-base. Good luck.
