Im just saying no automatic weapons in general. I also disagree that semi-auto weapons are more dangerous. The recoil can be managed and being able to fire that many rounds is very if not too powerful and just doesn't fit Rust.
Up close yeah, auto is deadly. But, when you are 400 meters away I cannot imagine anyone being able to hold down their left-mouse button without letting go and unleashing 20+ rounds and hitting much of anything at all. Firing in a semi-automatic fashion gets much better results. I just think getting rid of automatic weapons is not an awesome way to go.

There is just no good reason for them to be in the game. They don't fit. They are overpowered up close and can be fired in bursts at long distance. It's a survival game that takes place in the wild, and it should feel like one.

there wont be any scoped(like sniper wise) rifles. and i think that using the crude weapons seems more realistic in a post apocalypse. modern weapons should be really rare

Crude handmade weapons are not realistic?
I'm sorry, I must have missed the part where making a military-grade shotgun with your bare hands was in any way realistic...

EDIT: To clarify... they shouldn't REMOVE the weapons (and in fact they already said they wouldn't), just that they should be more rare / very difficult to produce (which they already said they would) and for the dominant weapons to be these crude ones.

We're not removing modern weapons. We're making them way more difficult to obtain and much harder to produce. These homemade weapons will bridge the gap in the gradient towards the high end military grade weapons which you will only be able to find in supply crates and whatnot and require an advanced base with advanced construction materials to produce
Great so basically easy for clans to make or acquire because there are so many of them, but impossible for the casual or non casual 2-3 players/ individuals. I mean the nature of the game suggests that it will never be balanced based on how items are acquired, the more people you have the quicker you will get resources, but play on your own and you will always be on the back foot, fighting to survive. The game will just turn into planetside, where you have three main factions (clans ) who continually fight for power over the map. Not in a clan, you just get caught in the crossfire.

The biggest problem right now is that everyone is mostly confined to a 2km area, even though the entire map is 16km (the rest is barren, so that's why nobody explores the rest of the map).
They recently said they would reduce this to 8km, and use the entire thing rather than only 2km. That should significantly help to spread players out.
Beyond that, what can you do? The big guys will always have more resources. That's just how it works.
