Hey everyone,

as you guys wanted to be informed (if possible) before we wipe, we're scheduling a wipe for all 'by PlayRust.EU' Servers on Friday 25th. Please note that we might not always be able to inform you about wipes beforehand as we're currently in alpha and some updates require wipes.

Please note that 'Hosted by PlayRust.EU' servers are NOT affected, as those are customer servers.

Wipe will approximately happen at 22:00 (10:00 PM) GMT.

US SERVERS WILL NOT BE WIPED.

Can i ask whats the decision behind wiping the server 2 times within 4 days and then doing a full wipe Friday? 3 wipes within a week seems.. a bit over the top :)

... we're warning you and you're still complaining.
The last WIPE was NEVER. Servers were started almost 2 weeks ago and we've never wiped a single server. If you want to decide yourself when to wipe: www.playrust.eu - done. Otherwise leave it up for the people hosting the server and the devs.

Its a simple question.. i was playing on the server before... it reset "building wipe" then 2-3 days later another building wipe happend. And now your doing a full wipe.. And thats why i asked why. Dont lie to my face when i was on the server when all this happend, get your fact correct before snapping on a simple question. Im all for wipes happen, just not ever 3rd day.. its not whining.. Im not sure i like your attitude towards my simple question tho, very unprofessional of you. Doubt ppl find your incompetence trustworthy towards wanting to rent your servers.

Well, the more servers the harder it is to attack all servers. We can also get protection against certain attacks (I can not reveal too much information about the things going on here, sorry) on SOME locations.

If you'd actually have searched the forums before, you'd have seen our statement that it was a savefile corruption which was reported to the dev team immediately. It's an alpha, get over it already.

Ok Ideal, so why couldn't you just tell MLundis this in your first post instead of replying in a rude manner? It's not that big a deal but being rude and hostile to your customers is just unfair.

It is completely understandable that we have questions about the wipes, and yes its an alpha, but telling us to 'get over it already' is in my opinion, not sufficient from someone in your position. This kind of stuff affects the community and our outlook of you, because you represent this game.

That being said, I appreciate that we now have a notice of this full wipe, hopefully it is something that you can continue, along with explanations alongside.

Yes, US servers are possible.
No, you cannot make it private. There is no such option.

You arent paying for his servers tho, if you where maybe you'd be right.
But as hes hosting servers that he pays for he has got the right to do whatever tbh.
(sure its not smart to be hostile towards the base playing on it)
I wish there would be an opening for more hosters, i gladly would look into doing some Scandinavian server or so.
But for now we have to make due what we have.

See, the naming conventions and the ability to rent servers is already getting silly. Some get wiped, some don't and then we got a server op in here selling us servers and talking down to us...awesome!

Would also really like to know the answer to this, as I would prefer knowing when to come online. Also is this going to happen usually or will wipes only happen every 2-3 weeks?

I cannot answer this one. As written in the first post. It's an alpha and we will wipe whenever there is the need to wipe. When the devs want us to wipe the servers, we will do so.

Sorry, but random players are NOT customers. We're paying those servers and therefor we're a server owner in that case. Customers will get the support they pay for. The Hosting we provide is free of charge for everyone who wants to use it - but stop complaining about it. It's a free service, you have no guarantee about nothing.

Actually, we ARE your customers as we ARE using your servers potentially. To say that since we are not directly paying you to rent them and therefore we are not your customers is just a stupid thing to say. We DID buy keys, and the devs DO pay you for the servers or you give them as tradeout for free with the understanding you get to rent more servers to us. I suggest you stop sitting here on the forum and preaching to us on what to ask and not ask of the developers and learn some basic sales and customer service skills.
