    The lighting is incredibly dull, but the pose is nice.

    There is quite a bit of clutter on the bottom right though. In the future, your background should have just as much going on.

    Still not quite. Again, the posing is good and the composition in the first shot is decent. What would really help your images though is a quick look at the colors going on.

    I went ahead and sampled these colors directly from the second image.


    As you can see, there isn't that much variety between grey and brown. There's not even allot of contrast between them, so they end up looking very uninteresting.

    Read this thread. It's definatley the most helpful thread I've ever read here and if you understand and implement it into your work, you're stuff will look fantastic in no time.

    you need stronger shadows and highlights that bring out the geometry and details of characters and objects. throw some lamps in there and experiment. don't go all HunterDNRC though (obscene filthy dirty madness-inducing ugly unfitting idiotic color combinations in scenes where they don't make sense at all)
