You know.
Really ? ..uve played right... its all just bambi massacring YES massacring as there's not really any fair chance
Edited:
got mine for $59 all because few nights back i check it at $60 and there was still something like 75 keys left i came back at 52 and there was 66 keys left and as soon as it hit 50 all 66 keys left mysteriously all went at the exact same time so i got in early today and snatched 1 at 59
I bought mine for 50$. It's a fun game and all but I kinda regret using that much money on it.
Nothing :) I was lucky enough to get in while the applications were open for everyone.
They always end up being 50 bucks :-(
0.00 €. Seriously, why would I want to spend 35€ on a game that's still on alpha stage?
$0 but I still got the game
at this moment, the average price everyone has paid for the game is at 50.62 usd. thats insane... when the price was at 80, 12 keys had already been sold... wth!? greedy people man, greedy people. some of us cannot afford to spend that much on anything, much less a video game. to you guys i'm sure that seems like barely any money, but for me, as a father, thats a lot of diapers. i wish i could afford to buy this game at 50 bucks.. but i cant. and the sad part? i guarantee you i would be way more active than many of the morons who spent what they did, and wont post a single bugreport; whereas, i would. in fact, i'd post every bug i found... i bet most of you dont post a single one, other than to whine about 'lag' or 'hackers'.
Dutch auctions are simple supply and demand economics. Businesses don't go into business to give things away.
As far as you being more active in the bug reporting process: The way I see, once you buy a game, you owe nothing to the company. You don't pay to work for someone -- that's called slavery. I really don't understand the paid alpha idea, but if it works, why not? I remember back in my youth we looked forward to game releases in GamePro magazine, and then at one point we got into (free) beta releases of games. Now we're getting excited about paying to get into a pre-beta version of a game. I really don't understand it, and now being considered "old" I don't think I ever will. I'll likely jump on Rust or or another competing game, whichever gets released first.
Good luck in the fatherhood gig. I haven't been blessed with such an opportunity but from what I've seen it's both challenging and rewarding.
48 dollars. And I don't regret it. As iffy as the game might seem right now, the stories I've accrued "Mostly unepic dying with style stories" have been worth the cost already.
i didn't know people didn't like rust becuase alot of people are freaking out for a key
I spent 60 bucks and no ot wasnt mommy and daddies money it was my hard earned money and it was worth it. Everyone keeps saying i wouldnt spend that much money for a unfinished game, but the point is it will be a finished game eventually and ill be along for the whole ride and im able to play it th e entire time. Sure i could wait till its cheaper or even waited a few more hours on the auction but its people like us who spend the 50 60 70+ dollars on it that help fund the project and pay these hard working devs. So bassicaly pay what you can for the game, its not just for the game itself your helping the game progress.
I paid $50 and it was DEFINITELY worth it. Rust is one of if not the best games I have played and it's only in alpha. I'm just imagining what the final game will be like. Good job gary!![]()
i got my key for free and i don't see why anyone would pay $50 for it
Haha Oh Ya! Its an amazing game bro. hey you should do another cool thing that games dont normally do and have a tip jar. a tip jar would be for any of the players to leave a suggestion and tip you off with a little bit of money just so the game never stops from being filled with great ideas. if enough people add a tip for a specific suggestion then you guys would be paid to do it. It might have flaws, but I just thought of it last night.
WoW! Gold Member and get free key! WoW! Tell me more about it pls..
You know not many gold members were actually able to get keys?
i just wanted some notice from you, thx.
i don't like yours either
i got the last key garry gave away for free and i feel special in a good way
lol, this guy is mad against you
Reminds me of back then when everyone would just rate me dumb because they thought I was a hacker.
took me 5 minutes to find someone post that "000-000" (or something) key that worked for everyone, i don't play rust because it runs badly on my computer and has a shit playerbase but i still keep an eye on it because it seems like it could be fun (when it's improved)
Seriously, i can't buy the game cuz in my family nobody have Credit Card... I would give a Simcity deluxe origin account for it.
nothing and that's all it's worth right now
Kinda funny , i payed 50$ + 10$ tax (Lol , fuck taxes) And i dont regret it at all , i had no friend to play with but after 20 mins of playing i found a guy who helped me out alot , now we own a giant base with 4-5 awesome neighbores.
The game is fun and i love Facepunch. Played Gmod since starts 2011 and i am still playing it , its an incredible game.<3 I got addicted by both games.
well ive been getting up at 3.am b4 school to see if a key is still available. The lowest ive seen is $30. ive looked around no other way to get keys and im trying to pay $5 for mine since i am not currently in hold of a credit card. SO DEAL WITH IT
Got my key for free when you just had to type random bullshit, never played it.
Use mathematics , they sell 100 keys each day right ?
1,359 keys were sold.
96/100 keys left.
Some keys weren't sold , interesting ain't it huh ?
People who complained could of got it for 0.5USD.
MD3ad
Free key tester here. Not sure why you would pay more than $20 for this game in its current state. It probably isn't even worth that yet.
It has potential, but people just love throwing money away I guess.
Hi everyone, this is my first post ;)
Yesterday evening i clicked the blue button at 48,50$, cause my personal limit for that game ist 50$. When i was forwarded to the PayPal page the system says i have to pay 20% tax, may its cause i stay in germany. So i decide to cancel the payment, cause this is over my personal limit. I also bought 7D2D for 35$ without any tax, why i have to pay tax for Rust?
Why i would pay so much for an alpha?
Cause i am bored to spend my money to big publishers and will support the indie games.
Hope i get my key some day for a fair price and i am so exited as i was at 7D2D and not freakin out about the PvP
Greetings
PS: Please excuse my grammar, cause i am not a native speaker :)
I paid 23$ for it, totally worth it
''I got it for free and I will never pay for an unfinished game''
for this I reply:
- If you got a free key and are still playing the game today, you probably would have paid for a key if you did not had the chance to get one for free.
- nobody shits money, if the average selling price appears to be around 40$ that is because people want to pay for it, this is called Supply and Demand
to those who got free keys when if they are inactive the account would be banned or am i wrong. so even if they want to play it later. they have to buy it. or not?
I spent about 1K......oh wait no...that wasn't for a key that was for all my textbooks for college.....*poor*
It's rather silly saying a game isn't worth $XX because if it's not, then wait til you get the price you think it's good for you. If the keys run out before you can, wait til the next day. If you still can't get it, that means, and you really want it, then you gotta pay the higher price. If you want to wait til the game is live, I'm sure the price is much lower then, and you'll have feedback from the early adopters on whether the game is any good.
I never seen such an approach to selling a game, so it's fascinating that this is even being pulled off!
