Nah, they've already got like $180,000ish from the auction.
As far as a multitude of players, they won't care about that until they decide to stress test their servers, which likely won't be until a beta release.

I can relate to you. While I may be American members of my clan are in Australia, Ireland, UK and even France. So it's taken a bit for the lot of us to follow the sales for the past few days and coordinate buying together. A bit distressing.

Hopefully we'll all find out whats up soon enough. Just have to wait for a crack in the cloud line and a forum mod to descend into the forum and tell us all whats up.

My guess is that it is server related, seemed a little bogged down before they took the auction offline.

Honestly, With an issue this big i.e. sale of the product. you would think that at least some simple minor response from the admins would be prompt - I work in IT and at the first report of a major issue we would send a page out to everyone to minimize the amount of calls\posts we receive.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of response, harsh replies from the admins, and the fact that it is 6:30 AM here, i do not think i will be buying this product today or any day in the future. I was prepared to pay between $30-$40 for the game but seeing how this is handled and due to the time difference i will focus on playing other games and not recommend this to my clan.

Yes it might & my best guess will be midnight tonight they'll probably resume it, if not worst case scenerio probably tomorrow night @ midnight. ( Or the usual time they resume it )

well im sure this will go unnoticed or get me banned i have no idea, but This is an awesome idea for a game, it really is, its the exact principal i was looking for in a game, a free roaming, survival, make friends or enemies its my cup of tea, so like countless others i'm asking for a key...in the...selling key auction section, simply because i dont have the cash to buy one and i want to join the game, so i know most or all will just toss this comment aside or troll me, but this is all i can do to try to play this game, thanks

Hey, i have this small addiction to buying games on steam, i would like to buy rust because it reminds me of stranded which i spent much time playing on garrysmod, lol +attack was fun for mining.

Any way im wondering if i will have to re-buy this when it is released on steam or if i could register it on steam using the same key i am about to purchase?

Also why does it seem that half this community is banned? even people with 10,000+ posts banned, im sure some of these people deserved it but based on the frequency of the ban hammer, amount of insults i see and the level of arrogance i sense in a fair few posts I can't imagine why people would invest any time here knowing the ban hammer will eventually hit them regardless of their time spent establishing themselves in this community.

Half the community is banned because they're circle jerking faggots from the minecraft forum. It's more of an elitist type forum where nobody really has anything to be elite about they are all just assholes just because.

Also to answer your question they said they would try to give everyone steam keys. Which is most likely going to happen but they have to say try because it's not a guarantee.
