Oh my god, stop this nonsense. The dutch auction was and is a fantastic idea. I have no idea why some people would pay over $150 for this game but that's their choice. I'm still waiting for the price to reach around $25, but if some people think $35 is what they're willing to pay then I guess I'll just have to wait for that to change.
I have no clue how people can be complaining about a model that perfectly lets the buyers set the price of the product, in the fairest way possible... But most of all, I have no clue why garry wastes his time arguing with them. Unless you get a kick out of banning idiots garry, in that case I don't blame you. ;)

if it weren't for stupid 20% tax on paypal to buy it I would have had it it was down to 46 wich is as much as I had on my account then it wants extra 9 dollar in tax :S and I was like ok 50 keys left it might reach 36 dollar then server goes down /cry

My clan and myself have been watching the store for the past 4 days to get a level view of the average the keys sell for at in the store which seems to be between 30-45$ for the bulk. We were all prepared to buy them between this area today and were planning to pick them up about 20 minutes or so from now only to see that the store was closed prematurely.
I say prematurely because there were 59 keys remaining. That is 59 keys advertised to be sold that are apparently going to be with held. Yes it is an alpha, Yes things can change but when you post something up for an auction all must go or else there is a level of false information involved.
Seeing as people are being banned for simply asking why this is happening without any explanation or warning with responses such as "Crap post" which by the way is an incredibly unprofessional way to handle your potential player base. Sure it may not be an issue now but when this goes to be marketed later on when it's more complete this sort of action may prohibit its release through specific channels or marketing clients. A possible example could be steam. Which would be incredibly sad because RUST has some amazing potential and has been heading in a very positive direction and the production value has been astounding for such a small and dedicated team.
Either way, If there was some sort of mistake it would be nice to know whats going on. Or if it was intentional then why 59 keys remaining where not given the chance to finish auctioning off before having it closed down. It just seems rather abrupt and without warning.
I'm sure there are others who share specific parts or possibly the entirety of this posts view and would like to know why those of us that were following the auction for days at a time were cut off without warning.

Agree with you a lot on this one. I was going to be the "trial" member of my clan to try this out before recommending. I can understand there may be some issue that is going on, however the response to the new threads created is frankly quite rude and unprofessional - some people were wondering why, and did not want to read a 15 page thread to see where this was mentioned.
It is additionally annoying for me, as here in Australia, even if i stay up until 1-2AM it is still around the $100 mark. This is pushing an entire customer base out of the auction. I was dedicated and stayed up this late and i am still unable to buy my copy for a decent price :(

They're locking the threads because they want store related issues to be discussed in here.
As far as the store coming back up - it probably won't.
It's either because technical difficulties, in which case they're going to take their sweet time to fix it.
Or because they feel they have enough money and/or players already, in which case they're going to take their sweet time to invite more people.

Yes, This is incredibly true. I'm very suprised at how almost eager they seem to rush to the ban hammer for people who are just trying to figure out why they can't spend their money on a game as great as RUST. I know I wouldn't stop some one from asking why they couldn't buy my product if I had one. Kind of counter productive.
But that said it would probably be best to keep responses to this stickied thread to avoid the apparent itchy ban trigger fingers.
Hopefully we will all get some kind of information soon... My clan and I were really looking forward to getting our keys this evening as I'm sure many others were.

I would think answering the customer questions and reassuring would be a priority over closing threads and banning users.
