The point of the game is to be a zombie-survival. Of course they're not as threatening as actual players, but they add onto the pressure players should have so that way they work hard.
I understand that, what i was asking is if zombies should be replaced by something else. Maybe bandits, maniacs, animals mutated by the radioactivity, etc. I personally hope they still intend on replacing them, but maybe thats just me.

Well removing zombies entirely sorta ruins the game in my opinion, they should be adding more rather than removing. Maybe make hostile animals like bears, wolves, etc. As for bandits, yeah maybe NPC's or not.

The zombies are, if I recall correctly, default Unity models. They're literally temporary creatures for testing and are not intended to be part of Rust's final version, unless the devs have changed their mind and not told us.

would you want to seen them in the final version? I'm leaning more toward replacing them with something else

Did not know that. Though they do seem to fit with the game just fine, but I will admit they're a bit of a nuisance.

It also kinda helps to protect the loot.

They don't fit very well at all

I can't think of anything in particular. There was some artwork of heavily mutated animals, I think that'd be cool.

    Well that's just my opinion.
And that was my opinion :P

Do you guys think trees should be the main source of wood? i think they should base wood gathering more around trees and make logs more rare

They should make the starter rock and the stones item into the same item so you can turn the useless rock in your hand into a weapon. you should only need one rock for that stone hatchet instead of the current five rocks because logic.

I'm also kinda pissed that I payed for two copies of the game so i could play with my brother, but it takes hours of dying to find each other, maybe its unrealistic but I don't think its much to ask that you could be invited to spawn near your friends on joining the game. The last thing that bothers me is that you have to start as a caveman who is helpless (who lives in a zombie infested world with modern military grade enemies and structures) if you're lucky enough to find resources you become superior to the game environment and can only die by suicide or other players.

I know the game is in pretty early development and i have faith that the developers will fix these issues.

Bicycles. Consume as many Calories as running but lets you move at double Run speed.

Primitive SMG (think Luty, Sten or Borz, half the metal of an M4 or MP5 but 20-round magazine and prone to jamming.) Ex: these Borz.

Make the craftable 9mm Pistol look more like this or this than a bog-standard Beretta M9/92FS with a shorter magazine.

I approve heartily of the Pipe Shotgun and Hand Cannon, but the Hand Cannon needs to do more damage or have a slightly longer range to make it worth crafting, ever.

Seconding all the vehicle suggestions, and adding another-Farmer Armor and Machine Guns, to make Technicals. Machine guns would probably resemble this and take 12.7x99 rounds; each costing 5 Gunpowder and 7 Metal Fragments.

Additional melee weapons would be nice, but I can't think of any niches not currently filled, save possibly throwing knives (2 Metal Fragments each.)

The ability to collect used arrows.

Metal arrows (2 Metal Fragments each; recipe makes only one as opposed to four Stone Arrows.) Additionally a button to switch ammo types for the Bow/suggested Crossbow; possibly R.

The ability to craft Blueprints yourself; 5-10 Paper each but a useful tradegood.

Make Flares less thoroughly useless, god damn. This is easily done with two modifications: one, allow them to be capped once opened so they're not used up entirely in one go, and two, give them a visible lifetime like Torches; 500-1000 versus 250 for Torches.

A small change: Right/left click with healing items to heal self/other.

    Finally: Furniture.

Would provide Comfort like a fire, even if your fire's not on, and cost about 50 Cloth/10 Wood each. Possibly let you heal faster. Wood/Metal Bed, Wood/Metal Chair (adirondack and folding, respectively).

Metal Crafting Table to make the more complex items; you can make Pipe Shotguns, Primitive SMGs/Pistols, Bolt-Action Rifles and Hand Cannons at the Wooden Crafting Table, but to make the M4, P250, MP5 et al you need a Metal Crafting Table. The MCT also halves craft time for WCT items.

Firecrackers. Throwable of course. They make a sound like a gun shot, and are used for misdirection, and give off a split second of light when they explode. I think they would be useful for the lone wolf or stealth type players.
and would take like 1 sulfur 1 charcoal and 1 paper to make. Something a player just starting off could use to get away or lure the enemy into a bad position

This is probably a useless idea but,
allow the players to have a choice to consume animal fat.
It will restore 500 hunger points, but will have a 50% chance of killing you.

The response that you should get from the kill screen should be "Death by a cardiac arrest".

It's animal fat. Make it refill 1000 calories.

Screw cars and horses, they would not fit in with the game properly and cars especially would be limited to where they can go.

    Rust needs........... BICYCLES!
made from low quality metal these bikes can fit in the inventory and put in the action bar for use.
The bicycle will be an rare item to find - only in the form of a blue print - and cannot be learned from a research kit. Bandits will have a hard time chasing you down on one of these bikes as they pick up good speed and will leave them eating your dust! .... Until, UH OH! The bandit has a bike as well and must have discovered the side cart blue print because hes got his buddy riding along side him firing shots at you. Scrambling for cover in the trees you quickly jump on your bike and peddle as hard as you can to get away but the bandit is gaining on you as his buddy starts landing bullets on you but ALAS you manage to dodge and weave through the trees enough to get out of range from the much slower side cart bicycle.

Anyone like my idea? Wanted to make a story out of it to help you visualize a possible scenario on what it would be like to have a bike so rare and the possibilities of side carts.
