I'm not particularly religious, but I still find it somewhat disturbing to have a reference to Holy Mary in the title of yet another "omg monsters guns terror"-type screenshot.

Then again, Hitman: Blood Money made a point of starting and ending with Ave Maria, so what the hell. Carry on.

It's the translation of the lyrics to Ave Maria, I believe. "Ave Maria" means refers to the Holy Mary.

"Ave" is a Latin word that was used by the Romans to greet/salute high authorities, It means "hail"or "farewell".

you could simply translate it as "farewell Maria" or "hail Maria".

Yeah, you're right, my mistake. I mistranslated because I'm Portuguese and "Avé Maria" is so colloqually used that I tend to interpret it as "Holy Mary". But you're correct, of course.
