Well you could always make a referral mandatory for most people, but the people joining in for Rust just need an alpha key to join. Maybe have it so when you get banned from the forums you get banned from Rust, too

No more people begging for alpha keys and it'd eventually clean up the Rust forums, everyone important wins!

This is complete and utter bullshit, if this happened to you it's likely because you've been completely oblivious to the forum guidelines. We don't give a shit if you're new or not, just don't act like a complete moron, the reason people that have been registered for a long time are more "respected" is because of how easy it is to be banned in here. Someone from 2006, IE, is going to be more accepted than someone that registered this month, not because he's "old", but because being a regular for 7 years without being banned most likely means he hasn't been acting like a child all the time.

Someone who can't read a sticky that says "READ THIS OR GET BANNED" doesn't deserve to be helped, you have to weed out the stupid ones to create a better community.
