I am a huge Arma 2 player and I would always keep up with Arma 2 forums, I then was introduced to Rust through my Youtubers and I check out the Rust forums and I began to notice something. When DayZ was introduced to Arma it was like a boulder smashing into the dam that kept all the young kids not flowing into our forums and when that dam broke, holy crap so many of the Arma 2 forums were becoming flooded with these young kids, asking so many stupid questions! Now I see the Rust forums and I look at how many young kids are asking for the game and posting in the forums for keys. The similarity is that both games are infested with these annoying and unbearable youngsters. So now my question is, "How do the people that have been in the forums prior to Rust's arrival feel about all these stupid posts about keys and I want the game now?" Because when DayZ was introduced to the Arma forums, I was like and I can't imagine what the people of this forum prior to rusts arrival are going through.

What did you except? People to just shut their mouths and wait for the damn game?
It would be nice for me to try Rust out right now but I'm patient I can wait for beta to release whenever.
This is common with any game which is not released publicly and people like it.

weird thing is youngsters are drawn to rated M+ games and most people who are 16-18 play these mmo's that were designed for youngsters its so weird and Xbox is just a crazy infestation with 10 year old's and now there transferring to dayz and rust its just I'm scared what will happen once rust comes out and dayz standalone. Come to think of it when I was 10 I was playing outside with friends and enjoying but now that I'm older I have a job to maintain and some work from school to work on and alittle gaming time and time to hang out with friends.

Honestly, all of you guys stereotype these newcomers as immature and annoying little kids. It's not up to you whether or not these newcomers join the community or not so you may as well welcome them. I'm new here and I'm sick of hearing you complain about how all of us are annoying shits. If you want to blame anyone, blame the devs for making the game. You guys are such hypocrites too. I'm pretty sure you guys joined the forums for a game, so why can't we? Yeah, I don't tell these new guys to post annoying threads and no one tells you guys to comment on them either. Just let them be and let a forum mod close them.

The difference is, simple. He's talking about the little kids who post and whine and complain for not getting a key, or for getting scammed or what not. The people who don't understand what a alpha/beta test is or what to do in it. I joined later on. This is my 2nd post on here. But I rarely go on these forums. I only go on to once or twice a day to check my inbox to see if I managed to get my hands on one of the keys from the drawing contest. But I don't think they are handing any more out. So I'll continue to be apart of the community by watching the livestreams and helping people out that are new to rust who started streaming instead of being one of the seagulls from Finding Nemo who spams hoping they will get their own portion of the game.

We complain because all of the Rust key noobs who've been flooding this place at an unprecedented rate over the past month have been annoying shits. They don't read the sticky at the top that says HEY LISTEN UP READ THIS OR GET BANNED, they ask questions that are answered in the sticky, and the only thing they care about is getting Rust alpha keys because they've hyped themselves into believing that it is better than Minecraft, DayZ, and a blowjob (which may or may not also be something they haven't gotten to try yet). They don't care about fitting in with the community, they don't care how much work they create for the mods with their shitposting everywhere, and they certainly don't care to read and use resources that people put there for that exact reason.

    So, yeah, they've earned it.

Well here's the difference. Here in this thread, you're targeting these "noobs" but elsewhere in the forums, I see people flaming at anyone and everyone who has a low post count because we haven't been here as long as you. That's what I'm saying. Now honestly, I'm here for a key because I'd be glad to help better the game but I'm not spamming the forums so I don't think I, and a handful of others, deserve all the shit that we're getting. When I first came on the forums, the first thing I read was the sticky. Great, right? I'm one less person to flame right? Or do you guys enjoy flaming at the new guys? Maybe they don't care about fitting in with the community because of all the hate they get. Being new here, I already feel unwelcomed because of all the flaming that goes on in the forums. Before you assume that we're annoying shits, give us a chance.

I am a 14 years old and I hate how immature my generation has been, one of my wishes is to be born in the year range 1986-1996 because I play with players in that year range and they are very mature and they said that when they were teenagers, their generation was very mature. Like I said, I hate the stupidity of the kids in my generation and I'm in the CoD fan boy generation which just makes me sick.

At first I thought it was incredibly annoying and I wished all of these new users would fuck off, but this thread has honestly made me reconsider stereotyping new users. You seem like an alright guy, OP.

And by the way, I've never understood this "My generation sucks" mentality. As someone who was born in the "1986-1996" range, believe me when I say that there are still plenty of immature assholes at my age. No offense, but this idea that you're so much better than the rest of your generation just makes you sound a bit elitist.

I don't think it's the kids or young adults that cause this grief. I assume it is more of the type of people that can't read, write, or speak English very well.
Just let the Moderators and Devs handle them, this is just sub-forum anyways.
If they want to play so bad, they can try to get the game when it is finished, if it finishes.
Rust has been online for 6 years, but it could of been in production (on) and not in production (off) a few times during those years. Rust could be released right now with how long it has been online, but because Rust hasn't been worked on for that long consecutively, I assume Rust will be released within another 2 - 3 years.

If you're 14 you're still in the same generation as the people from 86 and up.. Now if they were in the same age category as say your mother/father they would be in a different generation.. Same thing with your grandparents.. They are a different generation then your mother/father. We are Generation Y which is 1980-present.
