It's plastic bro, the program that makes them (http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/cust...thing_id=52363) Will allow you to make a key that will open your lock, but it will break if the lock isn't well oiled, and even then it only gets about 3-5 uses.

A weapon idea I thought would be cool for rust (digital art category)
I didn't really want the rust text in the final submission but I figured it would better help prove it was made for this specifically. Sorry for the large post I just want enough to show off the entry and have it considered valid and not stolen. I hope ideas for new weapons are considered rust related. That text is starting to get more and more on my nerves, oh well.

So, basically, when I try to make a new song I improvise random notes/arps/chords until I get something useful - which I call a creative stream, all of the following is me trying to make something for cat 5: hear anything that I could expand upon?

Story of the brotherhood of the traveling journal. Going to keep growing because I feel compelled to tell a story.
Day 1
These last few hours have been a bit of a blur, the first memory I have remembered is being surrounded by savages, they were ruthlessly killing each other, so many cries of pain, anguish, and anger. The screams will haunt my dreams for many days to come. I'm not sure how I ended up on this island, but I get a feeling as if there are more dangers on this island. All I've got are couple of flares, a hatchet, and a first aid kit, the first aid kit has a litre of water and enough dehydrated food to last me a couple of days. I've never been so scared or alone in my life.
Day 2
I've found a small shack that has had the door busted down, I suspect it's been raided and the previous owner was either killed or moved on to a new home as the coffers and boxes are all empty. I've seen many animals out in the wilderness and a few water sources, most of the land is barren and all I've seen are trees and rocks, I suspect most of the plant life has been eaten by the animals. Once I exhaust my dehydrated food I'll have to hunt for food, but it'll have to wait till tomorrow as it's starting to rain and the last thing I want to do is to get sick and I have no medicine if I get pneumonia. The only good thing this damp and dank rain has brought me is fresh water. Tomorrow I'll have to gather supplies and try to get some source of heat going so I don't end up freezing to death.
Day 3
I didn't sleep last night, all night I heard skittering and at times it sounded like moaning. It was a dreadful noise that I kept telling myself was the wind. It was when I went out in search for food and supplies, that's when I found it, some sort of ...creature, it was ..I still have a hard time believing it... it was eating a corpse that was strung up and hung upside down from a tree. It was pulling out the lower intestine of man, and stuffing it into its mouth. I didn't know what else to do so I ran. Thankfully for me it didn't notice me. I ran till my lungs hurt, then I ran some more. Thinking back to the man that was hanging upside down, it seemed to be some sort of trap set up to catch humans, why anyone would construct such a device is just beyond me. I decided to go to my shack and cut down a tree for firewood and to construct some form of defence for myself. I've lit my camp fire with one of my flares, it's keeping me warm but I still feel uneasy, the images of the man's intestines still flood my head. If there is a hell, I hope to go there once I'm done with this island.
Day 4
Today I went out to hunt for food as I have run out of dehydrated food. I found and killed a deer, while I was carving out meat to take home, a man approached me. He pulled out his gun, and cocked the firing mechanism and said, "thanks for killing that for me, now bugger off or you'll be joining this beast." I backed away and gave him what I had carved. As I stood there, watching this man take my spoils something came over me. The anger of being threatened perhaps, or maybe it was a primal instinct kicking in, but my hand quivered with fear, adrenaline pumping through me, I grabbed my hatchet and buried it deep in his skull. Again. And again, and again. I took everything he had. His firearm, his food, all of his supplies. What worries me is that I liked it, I enjoyed taking this man's life. He wronged me and I took back what was mine.
Day 5
I've exhausted all of my bullets, so many people I shot today. I've taken the mentality of kill or be killed, every time I saw someone I put a bullet in them. Each time it got easier, more enjoyable. I'm hoping to create my own gun powder, this elation I feel when I pull the trigger and they fall down is unmatched. I'm starting to like this island.
Entry 2 - I'm under siege, I have no bullets, and all I have left is my hatchet and a few more supplies in my first aid kit. I'm going to have myself a fillet of man tonight. I wonder what roasted man tastes like. I'll be sure to try and describe the flavour later.

Day 1
I los' my friend to this weirdo? A guy who was goin' to eat a person? Thas jus' sick. SICK. I killed an' gutted this lil' pig 'cause of what he did John. Put an axe in his head. John was always a wise ass an' a dick, maybe he was askin' for it. I found this here journal and for whateva' reason I felt like I needed to write in it. Christ John, why'd you get yourself killed.
Day 2
Today I went out with my pistol, Mary, and killed everyone I saw. Didn' know 'em, didn' care. John was all I had, now I'm alone again. This prick of a human shot me in my damn shoulder. I gouged his eyes out with my pick axe. Took all his supplies and bullets. Fucker was packin' a G.D. arsenal of bullets. He had a crude drawin' of some kin' of rifle. Gonna memorize this and try my hand at makin' it. Always was good at makin' things. That'll wait til' tomorrow, sortin' out this gear into differen' boxes so I don' get confused. I keep feelin' more hate in me, I need to keep killin'.
Day 3
I went into the city this mornin'. Felt really weird and sick while I was in there. That's when I saw John. John was freakin' walkin' aroun' buildings and acin' like he was drunk. I called out his name, bastard looked right at me. I tell ya' it was the best I've felt since I first met that cookey ass. When I was walkin' up to him we heard a shot in the distance, commin' from behind John - an' that's when I realized the axe was still in John's head. When I walked closer to him his eyes were milky and he reeked of ol' moldy meat and shit. The smell was awful, the closer I got to him the more sick I felt. That's when the fucker lunged at me and tried to take a bite out of me. John let out a moan that was creepy as hell. Then I felt the rage rushin' through me. I pulled out Mary and shot em' in his eye. The eye exploded with blood and puss goin' everywhere, John fell to the ground and didn' get back up. I pulled the hatchet out of his head and tucked it away and came back home - having to see John die again was hard. The more I thought about it though, it was a little funny. One things for sure, place turns people into fuckin' cannibals. The guy who killed John the first time was right, I can't imagine hell being worse than this place.
Day 4
I went back out to where I killed John -- the secon' time. I started feelin' sick again, told myself it was just the smell. Found another guy in this area usin' a pickaxe to kill unarmed men, only thing they had in common was they all let out this moan. The same noise John was makin'. I pulled out my gun an' shot this fella' in the chest. It was hilarious, his chest exploded, he fell on his back an' his leg was just spazzing out. Couldn' help myself an' I started laughin', John woulda' liked that. Joke was on me though. I'm sittin' here in this out house type room with these moaners bangin' on the walls. Guess Mary betrayed me with the noise she made, that and the laughter of seein' that guy's chest explode. Even now it's hard to write, I can't stop laughing. Wonder how many moaners there are out there, sounds like 5 or 6. Should be fun. Exploding, blood, almost enough to make my mouth water.

Entry 1
My name is Travis, I am not sure how long I've been here, I'm a former computer repair technician from Indiana. I went to sleep one day, a contributing member of society, then I found a random graffiti of a six digit code sprayed on the side of a building. I didn't think anything of it, but it was the last thing I remember before I found myself here on this island. I've been surviving here on this island for some time, I've seen many strange things and people - I've survived by keeping to myself and running away when I see any sort of trouble. I stumbled upon this journal inside of one of those creatures' stomachs. Well, I guess I shouldn't say I found inside its stomach, rather it was protruding out of a hole in his abdomen. Like its previous owners I have this urge to write in it, it keeps my mind thinking and makes me feel I have a purpose; to catalog things I see, maybe if I get off this island I'll be able to sell this journal and make some money. If I die maybe someone will find this journal and find the information I've written and it'll help them survive. Or maybe whoever put me on this island will find it and think it hilarious what he's done to all these people. I don't know, I don't feel like writing down every single little thing I do each and every day because each day is pretty much the same, scavenge for food, stay warm, gather supplies, and hide. If I stumble across anything useful I will write it in a separate entry.
Entry 2
During my first few days here I fashioned a hearing-aid type of device, basically a giant megaphone used by cheerleaders at pep rallies, made it out of mostly flexible material so it allows me fold it up when I don't need it, it has been quite useful for spying on people and listening for these creatures. I went inside a city like area, where these creatures tend to be because I overheard two men talking about these creatures having useful supplies on them. So I decided to see what they have, unfortunately I've always been extremely curious so the thought of finding useful and interesting items is always exciting. I guess the guy who wrote in here previously also went into one of these establishments because I too started feeling sick, I found out why too, I've been finding crates with radioactive warning symbols on them, they're everywhere. I suspect they've been here for quite some time because they're buried under ground, at least the ones that I have found have been. I wouldn't have even found them if I hadn't been killing one of those creatures. I tripped the monster and when I was delivering the final blow to the creatures forehead, my pick axe went through the other side of the creature's head and into the ground and I heard the sound of wood breaking. Once I removed my pick axe I felt extremely sick, but I felt compelled to know what I had struck, and when I was digging the box out I found the symbol on the box. I decided to leave it alone after I saw that. Is radiation sickness permanent? Have I sentenced myself to death by being in this area and uncovering this create? Those were the questions going through my head at the time, I came home and started feeling better, so hopefully if I just don't stay in there long I'll be ok if I just do short visits. Well, all I can say is I guess I know where these creatures are from, they're mutations from this radiation source. That's what I believe is the cause anyway, I've always had a nasty habit of assuming things, but it's kept me alive so far.
Entry 3
Hard to think. Can't stop myself from going to these infected areas. So many treasures, so, valuable. I don't know if radiation is making it hard to think, but, my skin isn't glowing so I can't be infected right? ha ha ha ha ha. I bit a man today, he was mining a rock, bit him on his shoulder. He panicked and ran away. Why did I bite him? What's becoming of me? Well, I can't stop going to these areas...I already wrote that.. I can't stop. I can't think. My side hurts, maybe I'm growing an extra arm, ha ha, that would be sweet. My head hurts. I'm tired of writing. I'm hungry.

I have listened to it several times, I think the part starting at 2:42 and ending at 3:11 has potential if you get it right, I was sad to hear the mess up there because it really picked up my emotions after hearing what came before it. Good talent.

All I've seen are some youtube videos and the PlayRustWiki stream on twitch, been enjoying seeing people's reaction and the back and forth they have. Liking what I see so far. And thanks for the feedback, probably going to add more later. This journal's got some stories to tell.

Well, I appreciate the feedback and I am glad you went with the category too. I'm an ok 3d modeler, a terrible texture artist, horrible 2d artist, sometimes I get creative with writing so I figured why the hell not. In regard to adding more content to it, would you prefer a post edit or a new post or both?

By that standard anythings fucking possibly then which I'm not saying its not, you need the knowledge of different areas of expertise to make it accurate, work properly and make the materials needed for it to function off of. BUT I very much doubt he made his own 3D printer and that's the point.
