Hey everyone, so I'm brand new to Rust.. This is my first time even attempting to start up the game and it seems like it's taking quite a while to connect to the server.

Not sure if this is a normal issue for everyone or not, but any feedback would be helpful!

    Thanks guys! :)

EDIT: This is a screenshot of what I've been seeing for about the past 15 minutes now.

Having a similar issue, I cleared my cache but it seems to not work on Chrome or Firefox.
Never mind, I am guessing a wipe is in progress, will check back later to see if it is fixed.

Oh ok, that would make sense. Hopefully they are just wiping the server and it's not a clientside issue on my end.

    Thanks for your help! :)

im having same problem here, managed to login this morning no problem (was checking to see if there was a wipe) then managed to sign in at my mums no problem (was showing her my secret entrance to one of my houses)
but for past hour back at mine i just get a black screen once unity loads can hear the music but cant do anything

EDIT- managed to get ingame, think its a matter of constant refreshing (still no wipe yet tho)

EDIT- yeah servers probably bogged down seeing as there hasnt been a wipe in about 2-3days, should've wiped it before the competition started

Interesting.. maybe the servers are bogged down from the influx of new players with keys? (Garry's Picture contest)

I guess so.Maybe there needs to be a stronger server or multiple server now, still getting the issue only I cant fullscreen and the full window turns it black.

    You'll have trouble connecting.

    Wait for a map wipe.

Yeah I was hoping to start up my Rust videos today but I guess that will have to wait. No big deal though! Just have more time to prepare and get things ready.

EDIT: Ok, so now it doesn't just freeze up anymore but the Unity launcher/client crashes everytime I attempt to connect to the server. Not really sure what's going on anymore.. lol

    Edited:

Ok, so if this is considered double posting I apologize and will delete this but now I've come across a new error.

It seems that when the Unity Player is trying to launch it ends up just crashing.

I will see this in the top left corner:
    Connecting to Server
    90% -Mesh.Bake PhysX CollisionData

    Here's a screenshot if it helps: http://www.mythicservers.com/custom/...akes/eaj5b.png

and anywhere from 90-100% is when the Unity Player will stop and it will just crash.
Anyone else having this problem or know any fixes?

    Thanks guys :)
