I think I might have a good idea. I haven't played rust yet so I don't really know if this would fit, but I think it might be cool to have something similar to the industrial craft minecraft mod in rust. You make machines that require energy that you can get from solar panels, wind turbines, geothermal generators, nuclear reactors,etc. Those of you who have played the game, do you think this would be a good idea? Would it make sense?

- Spawned, wandered to nearby concrete shed. Accidentally chucked a flare, another play came and stared me down, I guessed whipping out flares will show I'm no threat. He wordlessly wanders off. I loot the place and spend a few minutes figuring out fire places and crafting. When daytime comes I go and investigate what seems to be a small collection of buildings. Some player called Ted stares me down then shoots me.
- Respawn, see hanger and go loot it. Kill a couple animals. Notice tree growing inside hanger and through ceiling, decide to spend the night indoors, hitting the tree non stop. Light a camp fire. In the morning some player turns up and shoots me to death.
- Respawn in open field surrounded by hills. Wander over until seeing some player made structures. Decide against all logic to whip out flares and investigate. Night is once again falling. Doesn't matter, some bloke shoots me to death.
- Respawn near small town. Decide to have a look around. Ted is there, I whip out flares in the hopes this will calm his raging murderection. It does not.

I'll play again some time. I'll still try and be friendly, against my better judgement. At the least I'll be a decent hatchet dispenser.

I have also found that being friendly in this game is like wearing pinata underwear. You will be fine most of the time but sooner or later some snot nosed little brat is going to club you in the balls and steal your candy.

So I'm not sure if anyone else has been having this problem but it's been preventing me from playing Rust. Basically, anytime I try to launch the game, the Unity Player ends up crashing giving me this error: http://www.mythicservers.com/custom/...akes/eaj5b.png

So I've just scanned through what I think is every one of his tracks trying to find this particular piece.
It's kind of going the way of "needle in a haystack".

The particular track I'm looking for reminds me of minecraft for some reason. It's quite soothing compared to the other darker songs in game. There is a few effects now and then, kind of like animal noises or something and now and then a womans voice will sing over it. It's mostly just a simple piano melody as well.

I'm losing my mind trying to find this song haha.

YES!! YES!! This is wondaval we need even more weapons!
EXPLOSIONS! CHAINSAWS! MINES! oh we should at the ability to make traps with string(wire), wood (lever/mechanism), and a gun for the weapon or even a melee weapon that can be used for a warning that someone is outside or inside or for killing. It would be fun but probably a lot of lag and nobody could invade a house without getting their brains blown all over the floor but yeah. I hope that we can get voice chat too in the near future with channels and maybe private channels that players could buy for maybe a dollar or two. Also why don't you add sharks with lazer guns on their forehead.(Austin Power's reference) But yeah it would be cool to see some more buildings in Beta when that comes out and maybe some cities or also randomly generated structures/ruins of what appears old outpost by some other survivors. But anyways I'm going to end this here and if you want to talk about it with me message me. I'm thinking about what coul be added to the game and maybe hopefully they do.

I have a pretty weird problem. After a long session last night I got a house built up. So when I spawned in today, I spawned inside my house. Problem was, the doors don't belong to me anymore and someone else is living inside there and has control of the doors etc.

So did my house get wiped and someone just happened to build another house ontop of it? Or what?

Basically, you hit harder. You collect resources twice as fast (or faster) using it.

Love this latest update, unfortunately don't have access atm(hopefully soon) but Ive been watching people stream the game. Love the addition of the pick axe but I kind of miss the bleeding rocks tbh lol. Great job so far guys.

The player most likely chopped your door down along with your stuff and just decided to move in.

This is how I was kicked out of my last base. Solution: Use 20 doors for your door. It will take a long time for others to get in. Problem is, you have to press E 20 times for leaving/entering. It's worth it for the security though.

Also make sure that your fort isn't accessible from anywhere other than the door. If you're going to have windows, place them HIGH up.

Pick axe is better at mining everything except animals.

Doors are ~66 hits with the pickaxe, and you get 20 wood per hit on a pile compared to 5.

Also, the pickaxe has a 100% gather rate for trees, you get 2 wood per hit. You can mine rocks in 2-3 hits.
