on north america 1 server there is hackers giving out hacks to others to join their clan. it is near impossible to play. Gen Geddy is the leader. Hot potatoe, just die , vengeance. etc etc... there is about as many hackers as players

It's probably a worthless waste of life given that there's month++ old hackers that still haven't been banned, but try and at least post their steam profile link here via the View Players window in-game.

The situation is impossible on UK1, there are like 5-6 active hackers who are killing with aimbot+instakill, destroying boxes through walls, clipping into your house. WHY WE HAVE TO SUFFER THIS? Why you cannot just add ONE DAMN ADMINISTRATOR to the official servers?
Why 5 idiots should ruin the game for thousands of paying customers?
Why you are not doing anything about this? I waited 2 months for you to add one admin, and still you don't. WHY?

this is a list of hackers I collected in my 600+ hours of RUST, mostly on UK1 Official Server. Some of them already have VAC Bans, but are still playing. The list is in chronological order, so the first ones you see may be 1 month old or so, the last are of today. I will post the new ones I see here regularly.
To get into my list, people need to hack continuously and I have to be 100% sure of the hack, meaning I usually go back to them, triple checking the hack is real. If your anticheat software is working you should have plenty of reports for these guys from both players and server checks.
The current situation on UK1 is very bad, with the usual 5-6 people hacking and ruining the game for everyone. Please ban them permanently at least from official servers.
Most of them are bullying around, even showing you the hacks (like flying and speedhacks), and threatening to destroy your bases and kill you with their hacks.

One (of four) of my bases on US EC3 (Large) was emptied of 99% of the content and all boxes, furnaces/benches were destroyed, and all metal doors were intact (about 15, codes still active, not unlocked) One room was untouched, and it had some decent supplies in it, so there's no reason to leave it. It wasn't a C4 attack since it would have been outrageously expensive to enter all the rooms they did, on multiple floors...
How does the "alt-tab" sleeping bag glitch actually work? It seems that you can only be alt-tabbed out for about a minute before it kicks you off the server, so how can that be enough time to accomplish anything?
There's talk of a "clipping" hack, but why then would there not be rampant clipping, emptying every base on a server? If it was that easy, then my other base that is about 100 yards away -with C4 in it- would have also been emptied. The other puzzling part is why do they take the effort to destroy every box & furnace and repair bench, seems like a waste of time, and pointlessly risky exposure...
It seems to be very sporadic, it has only happened to me once before in the last month or so on a small remote base, and I shrugged it off as an annoyance.

Essentially when you alt tab out and someone opens and closes a door while you are alt tabbed out, the door will be "Stuck" open, when you walk to the door, you can shoot through it, and place sleeping bags through said door.
The glitch is fixed when someone open and closes the door while you are tabbed in.
The other glitch is very buggy, but your allowed to, after fudging the files client side, remove walls, and place a sleeping bag through the wall you removed. Ways to prevent this is an outer layer of doors surrounding the outside of your base, as it only works with walls, to the best of my knowledge.
The bad part, is when they combine the above. But there is an element of risk, as the method does involve alot of suiciding, so typically can't be done with people on. Generally loot gotten this way will have a line of boxes stuck through walls leading to the outside.

OK, makes sense, but it still doesn't explain with Win7/64 the game will log you out in about a minute while alt-tabbed. It seems that the alt-tab thing has a very limited usefulness in that respect, unless you're really lucky and have a way to hide until the person goes away for a long time.
The transparent wall thing sounds more likely, but there were no boxes in walls or anything. Maybe it was just a destruction effort to drive me away...

OK, here's the process: On US EC3 "Double Female" warped into my building tonight. I heard him walk near near the building and, then the "thump" of logout, not suicide, twice, and then he was standing in front of one of my inner doors. (he had weapons, so it can't be suicide, and the process was very fast, maybe 30 seconds or so...)
The weird part is that I accidentally opened the door in his face and quickly closed it and he was unable to shoot through it (lots of shotgun blasts, no damage while standing behind it), but after a bit he was able to shoot AROUND it (the doorframe was transparent to the gun). I think the opening & closing of the door threw him off since he didn't expect it to happen.
So, he was using a combination of the door glitch and texture swapping. Nearly impossible to combat this issue.

I'd reaaaaalllly like a refund cause there is no point in playing a game where all people do is hack and the devs don't bother to fix it. Flying cheat, aimbotting, speedhacking... you name it. Has been scripting on UK2 for the past few days in which time he has disrupted uncountable hours of gameplay for legitimate players.
The hacking problem needs to be dealt with as a priority to make the current game content playable. All you are doing, by taking so long to implement an effective anti-cheat, is fueling the market for cheats. People will either abandon the game or go and download the cheats themselves. Wait a minute... they just have to buy the game again, don't they? Kaaaaa-ching, Gary.... Kaaaaaa-fucking-ching!!

On US east coast 3 (large) there are tons of hackers. Usually about 2 or 3 on at a time. They go around and aimbot kill people from outside their base or wherever they are (even shooting through walls), killing them, then killing them again after they spawn in a second time. They also use speed and flying hacks. Some hackers take all your stuff by teleporting into your base.It's very annoying and its gotton to the point where a hacker kills you about every 5 minutes. Ive lost everything many times. The game is almost unplayable with so many hackers on.
Wolf is the one who hacks the most on the server. It takes days for him to get banned and during that time, he is online hacking and killing ppl pretty much all day. And when he get's banned he buys the game on a new account, changes his display name back to wold, and starts hacking more. Plz update your server security, its getting really annoying. And ban wolf's ip.

* MESSAGE FOR DEVELOPERS:
In order to solve this problem you need to give people an contact of some sort, IE email address where they can send you video proof of a hackers activities. Make it a form you fill out online on your website with YouTube video url link to the video that proves the hackers activities. Tell people to make the video short and sweet. And make them register to send the video. This way you can have a admin view these claims and remove these hackers with VAC individually. By now you guys definitely have enough money to pay someone minimum wage to work 40 hours a week banning people VAC instead of letting these people run your game for three months until the next VAC ban. I mean seriously, relying on such a outdated system, In three months the hacker count will be so high from people converting to hacking just to survive you'll ban you entire damn player field.
Something proactive must be done about this, i paid for a game, that promised a finish development down the road and for now to have to put up with changes and bugs. i Did not spend $20.00 to buy a game that has minor bug problems and changes that didn't mention before i bough it that they had major hacker problem.
It's pretty much false advertising, unless you mention in the steam store when people are about to buy
"Don't buy this game right now, there are alot of hackers, and we are to lazy to devote a week to solving the problem of them hacking even though our remaining players are probably gonna convert to hackers, just to survive and continue playing the game how we originally intended it, so that when the next VAC ban happens it'll probably ban the most of the people that are playing the game and then afterwards more people will hack again, after spending another measly $20 on a new account. So come back in three months and you can get the game and be the only one online. Congrats!"
Seriously you Devs need to be on this shit, or when my team releases our game simaler but better than this game that only we and a few others know about, we are gonna take all you players from you dude.

Hi, I ask my self about how many cheater we have in rust..
Cause :
- Steam dont block the user cheater (just a averstisement vac)
- rust are understund where from the cheat? (cause you find easy how pay and install cheat)
I mean, i'ts easy for any player to cheat.
So why STEAM and RUST DEV, dont block this cheat product?
Why, we dont want block definitevely a cheater on STEAM? (like creat a unique ID "IP-MAC-CONFIG").
And join steam to block user (like steam blocked and rust blocked).. that more sercure.
Cause, if I was a cheater, I use different account steam, witch different game (cracked) and sure the cheat. Steam cant block my and rust cant block my.. just moderation about admin.

This dude is hacking, on UK 2, he was running around very fast (probably speed hacks) and killing people with full health with 2-3 hits with his bow. Furthermore his shots were very fast and every one of them hit, while he was sprinting and while I was sprinting. He did this twice to me and many times to other people on the server.
