I'll start.
My experience has been alright up to the day when reddit came. Then shit just went down hill with all the griefers abusing glitching and doors.

It was good last night before everyone on 4chan and reddit came, now it's just getting a bit stale with everyone killing everyone else on sight. But I still have hope in the game if there was a way to stop servers being overpopulated.

I joined and got in the axe massacare. Soon I understood that I can run away from all the idiots and so I did. After that I built a house near an industrial facility some guys were fortifying and every day and every night I watched them like a creep. I even went to their base, walked behind their backs. They never saw me.
Also I got an Mp5A4 and other stuff. Life's good. I liked the game and spent way too much time on it.

Been there. I tried to mow all down the reddit people near my land, but sadly I didn't have enough ammo and they just kept spawning inside a glitched that I cannot get to.
That's nice. I usually raid those kind of places in the middle of night, which is really pitch black.

Pretty shit so far, any time I get even close to some kind of progress some fucking retard with an axe and 500 ping teleports all around me and I get a nice "You're dead" message.
It'd be nice if the death screen at least gave me a name so I can remember the fuckers and put a bullet between their eyes next time I see them. I know it pops up in the chatbox but it's glitchy as fuck.
I'm so fucking pissed, I spent an hour scavenging wood and cloth and I finally got enough materials for a house and a sleeping bag, I nearly finished building the fucking thing and then out of nowhere some retard just pops into existence and caves my head in before I get the last wall done.

Early alpha man, and I also know that feel with random fucking people repeatedly spawning with axes with 500 ping. It's fucking reddit man.

That's what I did. Went there at night and looted the places they didn't block. Don't know what to do now though. I kinda have all the supplies I need and even more.

I wouldn't try to build a house until they fix those fucking walls, because barricades are destructible but walls aren't. The only downside is people can glitch through the walls.
Again blame reddit.

Take some time to run away from pesky people. As for me - I just followed the road until I found a good place with some population, but not too much. It was a pre-gen factory with only 2 player houses near it.

I always put two barricades behind each wall. You can put barricades inside walls so they don't let anyone pass and take no space.

Tried that already, the 1000 ping reddit guys just somehow kept coming back and destroyed five walls worth of double stacked barricades with normal walls in the middle.

Most awesomeness besides the reset and the times that lagged out. I also have been playing a bit longer than most people. Love the update with all the new props!

I really like how solid black the screen is and then the contrast with the white Unity crash screen is pretty intense.

Prebuilt strutures are the only safe buildings at the moment, but there's only a few that aren't irradiated

Having fun raiding bases, intense gunfights.
Mapwipe was shit, but otherwise everything's great.

Absolutely loved it a day or two ago when it was averaging at around 60 players at peak times. Hanging around in the super-fortified hangar around the main spawn area with the other peaceful players, until every now and again some random bandit would fire in its general direction and it'd turn into a complete massacre and everyone would kill each other. Glorious.
Now the best thing to do seems to be to run off on your own/in a group to a far away spot that has rock+wood spawns and nearby animals, fortify up and watch for the occasional adventurers. Still really good fun when the lag allows.

Don't forget making 2 full stacks of doors and spamming it on people's bases. That really works as a raiding tactic somehow.

I'm one of the newcomers of the past day and I'm quite impressed with the game so far. Graphically its not the prettiest but I don't think that's the selling point anyway.
My main problem comes from identifying people. Supposedly other players' names will be highlighted if you target them. I've been within spitting distance of people and still not seen their names. This can make "friendly?" encounters impossible and I've resigned myself to my shoreside manner.This has led me to use the doctrine of killing anyone outside at night if they're not in a house. Especially if they're sitting around a fire broadcasting their location to everyone.
Now, I mostly sit in my house and listen to fire crackle as I craft more gunpowder and ammunition that I'll probably ever get to use. Occasionally glancing out the window at the sea. Last time I left the place little hovels were starting to spring up around it. I hope my place doesn't get too populated as I originally moved there for the seclusion factor...
I've pretty much packed everything onto my character while I've logged off as I lost a few different treasures in the last wipe along with my shoreside manner.

Once you get passed getting killed constantly and set up a hidey hole it becomes much easier.
Thank god blueprints are permanent.

I learned about the game from Reddit and so.. it sounds more like an excuse. They opened it up to everyone so it was bound to go to shit. You have the people who have been playing and were able to build up their stuff VS people who are getting killed by each other AND the people who already have guns.
That being said it's Alpha.. You can't put to much of yourself into the game just yet or really judge how it's going to be.
That being said the game itself looks great (maybe not looks) and I think it's going to turn out to be a solid game. I'm also thinking the violent player issue might be solved in the future, either by increased map size or limited server population? I don't know, this is my first survival type game (if were don't count Minecraft).

The concept is great and it looks all good so far. It's just a shame about the lag and such, but that will surely resolve.

until now? hell. it has been HELL. don't get me wrong, i like the concept, the ideas, but all the people hatcheting and griefing each other, with the immense lag(waiting several minutes for menus to pop up and weapons to switch is beyond any human patience) ruined anything good of the possible experience.
i just wish i found out about this before all the reddit people invaded the servers.

To be fair, it really isn't really the players' or reddit's fault.
In my opinion the insane player count is actually a good thing, glitches and design flaws are getting discovered at a much faster rate. Besides, the player count is probably gonna drop by quite a bit over the next few days or weeks again.

Love the game, but with my patience I can't do with the lag. Hopefully Garry, Helk and Pat get it sorted soon.
