Yes, yes, we're all quite aware that DeviantArt has a reputation for harboring Artists with...much to be desired. But, let us not forget that there's an upside to DeviantArt, that there are actually good artists on there with fantastic, professional work. As such I'm making this thread for people to share/talk about artists from DA who really kick some serious ass.
I'll start by introducing you to a few of my favorite DA artists and some examples of their work.

A professional artist from Hong Kong who has worked on covers for DC Comics. Has an original character named "Pepper" that he uses when trying out new styles.

Hailing from South Africa, this Artist is a Freelance illustrator, character designer and concept artist. He also expressed support for Ron Paul despite not being American.

A professional Female French Artist with her own original comics series. Has a habit for drawing rather torrid love scenes.
Jade-Law http://jade-law.deviantart.com/
Female Artist, United Kingdom. She's a big fan of Valve's games. Also did character concept art for APB: Reloaded.

Dan LuVisi, while about as subtle as a brick with his original designs, does create very striking portraits of various characters. Has done work for DC and Lionsgate.
Hit Girl, from Kick Ass; done as part of Lionsgate's promotional material.

Very recognisable artist, I'm sure a fair amount of people here might have seen a couple of his star wars paintings lying around. Also does superb design work.

Love his style.

Marta de Andrés
Digital impressionism at its finest. Great stuff. Bought her book, it's awesome.
Jeff Simpson
Amazing style. I find his works extremely moody and stylish.
Dave Rapoza
His fan art is inspiring, very realistic. Very influenced by Frank Frazetta.
He has a website that offers livestreams and more called Crimson Daggers. Very useful
Serge Birault
Awesome pin up artist. He was a teacher into one school that I went (but he didn't teach digital painting, only 3D...)
He uses his (soon to be) wife as model for a lot of paintings, can't blame him though :p

Really like his style, reminds me somewhat to Jace Wallace. He does photo manipulation too, it's still interesting though in the colors choices and composition. Worth checking.
Viktoria Voronko
I'm not that keen to anime but there's something about her style that I like very much. I really enjoy her portraits.
Nacho Molina
Very traditional artist, but I dig his style. He makes pin-ups too.
John Aslarona
Vibrant use of colors and strokes. He does a lot of cool fan art.
Sam Nielson
I love his photorealistic cartoon renderings. He masters perfectly the lighting in his painting. Such a pleasure to look at.
He teaches his advanced lighting techniques at Schoolism. I so want to take his courses.
Daniela Uhlig
Love her style
Charlie Bowater
Great artist. Apparently, she only uses the chalk brush for all of her paintings. Pretty amazing.
I'll post much more later, but I will try to diversify more the styles.

her works is very very good but this fact in itself is not amazing really... i'm exactly the same in my painting. it's just a simple brush with a nice square-ish texture. you can still make it so small that you can use it for hair and anything else small and detailed you wish to paint

Oilpntr58, vibrant colorful paintings of nature and abstract landscapes, reminds me of the background landscapes in old Disney movies.

No one here is probably into fractals like I am, but Xyrus02 is pretty damn awesome at them. Wrote his own version of Apophysis (a fractal renderer) and a couple other fractal programs (such as a 3D mandelbulb renderer). Really, go through his gallery.

I'm a big fan of Andreas Rocha. There's a lot of good sci-fi landscape people on dA, but Rocha's really able to bring a sense of composition to drama to every one of his pieces that just makes them exciting to look at.

This is why you get steamrolled out of every possible dumb thing you've posted on the forums. You get defensive over something completely meaningless and then you try and call them out, scraping at any possible scapegoat you can get your bony fingers on. That artist is genuinely wasting his talent on creating heaps of obvious fetish art (some of it earns him money at least) and he's spent 6 years barely improving and just living off doing the exact same thing that people will always pay for. He might have a smart way of earning that extra buck but he's not a good artist.

I really love Patrick Brown's artwork They have a nice stylized look to them and it just looks so fucking fun because of it, plus his art style just fits so well with the Marvel and DC Comics and a lot of other video games like Max Payne and GTA. I'm sure some of you here knows about him.

I absolutely love the style of his work. With one simple glance, it feels like you could build an entire story off just one of those pieces.
