Just a little hint, if anybody's getting an error when reimporting to the effect of "The image selected is bigger than the file.", that means that you've removed more data than you have added. You'll need to pad it out using trial and error to figure out the right amount.
It's nice, but tbh I like your original glitching of it much more.
My avatar was really short.
That's because it's small
Edited:
Also, glitched out an avatar.
I dont think I have i anymore, and if I remember correctly it was pretty small anyway.
Also, Im wondering as to how people make these glitches without dismatching the RGB layers
this for example. Its glitched, but every single layer is matched with the other one perfectly.
Maybe we should write some type of glitching guide?
Go To Sleep.
Use Wave Warp in Photoshop and set it to square.
Nice stuff, wah-wah?
Yes, and some photoshop tweaking to get it the way I wanted.
Edited:
I kind of want to get a higher res version of that picture and redo it.
The overview of Central Park
Reminds me of when gameboy advance games glitch out.
the buildings seem a bit simcity-esque to me
That reminds me of Routine, That one Indie game thats coming out.
Finally got around to trying this out.
I put in bits of a story I wrote a long time ago. I think it turned out well.
Would you mind making this a background? I really like it.
If there was a rating option for freaky, I'd give this picture that rating. It's so cool looking in a bizarre way.
Looks like messed up footage. This is a pretty awesome trick!
I never figured out what effect does the RGB Split effect.
I didn't use Audacity. I converted the photo to a RAW file and then edited it with notepad. This produces a different effect than editing a PNG with Notepad++, and unsyncs the RGB business.
Found this wallpaper and put it through the MACHINE

If you export the image to RAW in a non-interlaced order and then edit it in Audacity/Notepad and return those again in non-interlaced order, youll get something like that
Im not completely sure as to what you mean by that. For that one I just exported 2 images in RAW and then cut parts and switched between them in Audacity.
that's a really awesome effect, are you doing things listed outside the OP to get the cuts like that?
i'm still playing around with it. i personally quit using audacity, pictures generally only ends up a pile of static mess using it.
this first is just after adding random bits in places.
this second one was somehow gotten after adding lots of spaces in one area? it split it from r/b to r/g/b I suppose.
this is fun alright
No actually all I used was audacity. Ive been playing with this thing for quite a while, started when the thread started so I can predict a few things and what to do to get a certain effect.
For example, on mine it was simply exporting them in an interlaced order in RAW and then cutting and pasting them in Audacity (no more than 2 cuts though) and you get something like that. Of course, you have to try it a couple of times until you get a good cut.
Just added a few words into the picture with Notepad++. Nothing else
What do ya think?
