also, when you mess with it in Audacity, you can't alter how long the sound clip is, if you make the sound shorter by changing tempo or deleting bits you'd be removing parts of the image and it won't have enough to fill the input resolution (i think)

Took a photo of a 5 dollar bill, and edited it with Notepad++ by replacing every instance of at with random gibberish.

turns out the notepad++ trick will be altered depending on what host you use, sometimes.
so, uh, anyone recommend an imagehost that doesnt modify files?

It could be that it's in grey-scale.

make sure you have 3 non-interlaced layers when you export from Photoshop. And when you importo it to PS again, make sure it has 3 layers for RGB, but there's room for a lot of playing around

I tried to get this to work with GIMP but gave up quickly and just downloaded the photoshop trial

After a bit of fiddling I did this to a plane using audacity:


And this to my phone's keyboard with Notepad:

Ok so I started exprimenting with Notepad, with a picture of myself, heres what I got




They're pretty similar. All I'm doing is cutting and pasting text around. Adding text makes it weird I think. What are you guys doing?

I got a different one now, kinda like yours. At least it doesn't have the same lined effect



So the difference between this one and the other ones was that I exported one with the layers interlaced, and the other one non-interlaced. I forgot which one was interlaced, but I'll figure that out

Well, everything I did seemed to just fuck the image up big time so I just kept trying to fit one 'a' somewhere and in a while I found a sweet spot for it where it did that effect.

I also tried equalizing the picture in audacity but all it did was this:

I made this using Notepad++.

Heres some cool stuff:

Reversing the sound - makes the image upside down and inverts the colours

Echo - Repeats the image

High pass filter - Saturates the image

Low pass fitler - De saturates the image
