Introducing the Build a Better Wall screenshot contest, a once in a loadtime opportunity to gain tickets to the premiere of Pink Floyd: The Wall - Live in GMod!
What?
gm_thewall is a new map we're making, based on the Pink Floyd concert of the same name. Read more about it in the official map thread.
Well what's this contest for then?
We’ve just released a brick model for GMod. Fully compatible with the map, perfect dimensions, floaty physics. You can download it here - if that doesn't work, use this fix here.
This is the subject of our contest. What do you have to do? Simple. Build the most impressive wall you can make with these bricks, in any map compatible with GMod. Construct a medieval castle wall, a piece of wall-y artwork, someone’s face, an epic battle between the RED and BLU teams – anything, so long as it made with our special brick model. Then, take a screenshot of it and post it in this thread. The winner gets "tickets" to the premiere!
Deadline is midnight (GMT) on Sunday the 8th of April. No further entries will be accepted after this date.
- Toybox saves are OK, as long as you post at least one picture of them in this thread.
- Feel free to add ragdolls, vehicles, other props etc., so long as the basic core of the wall is made from our brick model.
- If you win the contest, you will be contacted by Facepunch PM and invited into our special member's only Steam group.

Yes, do what you like with them but make sure we can tell they're the actual brick model.
Of course. The only limit is your imagination (or, if you've got a bad PC, how many bricks you can stack up before GMod crashes)

Are we allowed to use Stacker? Because I think that would be cheating.

You can use it if you absolutely have to, but in my opinion it's more fun doing it the manual way. Plus, once you've taken a screenshot, you can tear down your wall in spectacular fashion.
